How gratifying is it for Scott Harris to make the playoffs especially after some of the negativity that surrounded this team (I was a bit negative at times, I know hard to believe right)He also isn’t surprised at all to make the playoffs in year 2 of his regime.

As the Detroit Tigers fight for a wild card playoff spot, A. J. Hinch continues to shuffle his pitchers.
He moved Casey Mize from starter to the bullpen. The first time Mize has pitched as a reliever since his freshman year in college. Several days ago, he pitching 2 innings, giving up a run on a triple and wild pitch but then striking out the side in the next inning.
Without him as a starter, the Tigers have only Tarik Skubal, Reese Olson and Keider Montero in the rotation. Olson is coming back from an injury so the Tigers are limiting the number of innings he pitches.
Mize is returning from 2 surgeries and missed almost 2 full years before returning in 2024. So far this year, he is 2-6 with a 4.37 ERA and 1.446 WHIP.
Hinch has said it might be possible for him to return to the rotation for this final series against the White Sox.
But should he? Do the Tigers need a starter or is Mize better off in the bullpen?

Where should the Tigers put Casey Mize?

1. Return him to the rotation.

2. Keep him in the bullpen.
