A.J. Hinch deserves credit for how he used the bullpen in Game 2. Starting Tyler Holton before going to Brenan Hanifee and Brant Hurter, and then when he used Jackson Jobe. It was the perfect time to use him in the 7th inning against the bottom of the order.
The Tigers have played Cleveland more often than any other team.The Guardians have played Detroit more often than any other team. More than 2,300 meetings. This is the first MLB postseason series between them. Great note by Marc Matcham of MLB Network Research.
The Tigers have swept a postseason series for the fourth time in franchise history. The previous three sweeps all occurred in the ALCS (1984, 2006, 2012).
