Game 3: Lions @ Packers Thread

http://www.prideofdetroit.com/2016/...-nevin-lawson-green-bay-packers-detroit-lions

True win. Nfl admitted dpi on lawson was wrong.

See umrules. They took plays up with league and i was proven right

That was never my question to you and you know it wasn't. I asked if they were protesting all the Green Bay holding from their offensive linemen during the game itself. You responded that "they did". I asked for proof and you provided none since you pulled that out of your behind. I never questioned whether or not they sent plays for review after the game.

We did not once discuss this 66 yard interference play. So no you were not proven right about anything that we talked about. Having said that, yep it absolutely looks like the Lions were on the short end of calls during the game. I am not willing to go all crazy and say that the Lions truly won the game though. It helps nothing.

Lions should beat the Bears and maybe they can get back on track with a bunch of home games afterwards.

You just admitted i was right. They did get the short end of the stick on calls. Hence true win in 7 point game

Also the lions did what i said. Sent tape into the league. That is how you avoid these ref mistakes. Complaining on the sideline gets you nothing. The lions do talk to refs from sidleines but cheffers and his crew are incompetent jackaasses

You do realize that every week the refs come forward and admit they messed up a penalty in a myriad of games. They were down 31-3. Spare me that this would have made ANY difference.

No I am not saying you are right. No one has ever said you were right when you spout your "true win" garbage. Yes you said the Lions send tape into the league. I already knew that before I ever tried talking to you. I specifically asked if they were making visible protests DURING the game and you replied "they did". You still have not shown me when that occurred so you must be merely guessing. Furthermore, my dispute is whether or not this had a material effect on the outcome of the game. You of course claim it did. I am not so sure based on everything else that happened. That's all I was ever saying.

Complaining on the sideline gets you nothing? I would disagree with that sentiment as well. I've seen it on every level from high school on up when the coaches start to get in the ear of the refs about "watching out for this and that", they start to do it or at the very least get a call their way. It definitely happens in the NBA and NHL.

And no I don't really care if the Lions protest or not during the game. All of that was just trying to make the point to you, that if the Green Bay holding was so egregious why did the Lions do nothing to try and stop this obviously unfair disadvantage they were facing? I guess their panties weren't in as big of a wad as yours.

Carry on.

It did inpact the game. Hokding, dpi and non opi gave thr packers 28 points. I guarantee caldwell said something to the refs. Cheffers crew is just that incompetent. And they finally called holding in second half. Packers scored 3 points

You are not allowed to just assume that the Packers score 0 of those points that you felt were tainted. You have no clue how the game would have unfolded had things gone differently so your whole logic is flawed.

Also I said that the refs did not impact the actual outcome of the game. If every call had been made correctly, then I feel the Packers would have won regardless, based on what I saw. You feel otherwise, which is fine (or at least you claim you feel otherwise). I have real doubts you are being sincere, and I think you're just trying to stick to your gimmick all the time. Troll away if it makes you happy.

It's pretty sad, I came back after some time off thinking it would be a little different with him. Nothing's changed.

Holding and opi would have killed their drives. 3rd down and super long on opi.

3rd and 11 if they properly dont call dpi

Lions outplayed green bay. Ref aid gave them all four tds

Like they can't get a 3rd and 11 against us.. Or did you forget the run by Rodgers at games end?

That was excruciating. Pre snap my wife (Packer fan) turns to me and says "you know he's just going to run for the first down right?"

*runs for first down*

It's really amazing how we're not divorced at this point. :argh:

Tony, you are probably the most optimistic dude on here. Need your opinion. Can you actually stand by LKP and agree that the Lions OUTPLAYED GB? This is too much.

Both teams punted only twice. 5 and 3 play drives for both teams

Packers also had a short field and went nowhere for a fg. Packers had extra drive 10 to 9. Packers end first half drive was going nowhere after sack.

Lions drove well in first half and second half with no ref aid. Only two bad drives compared to packers 4.

Packers good drives were aided greatly by refs

Packers were given two or more tds. Dpi just handed to them for one entire drive the length of the field

Lions outplayed green bay

Lol. It must of been painful over the years. At least you could talk smack to here last season, once.

Nothing wrong with being optimistic. It's the crazy part that is, well, crazy.

I was at the Tigers game. Didn't catch a single second of it. Lions lost....end of story.

BUT.........

The Lions have been getting jobbed by the refs early and often. I know, i know....it happens to ALL teams, but it sticks out more when you're a fan. IMO, the refs cost us that game against the Titans with the Ebron "OPI".
There's a lot of truth to what LKP says. There's a lot of craziness too lol. Do I stand by him on the GB game? No. But if that lunatic took out the true win gobbledygook, maybe people would take him more serious.
