The Tigers today have recalled RHP Eduardo Jim?nez from Triple A Toledo. He will wear No. 66.
Jimenez will take Drew VerHagen's spot on the 25-man roster. He is already on the 40-man roster, however, so the Tigers still have an open space there.

Career minors: 237.33 IP/ 2.97 ERA/ 1.34 WHIP/ 89 BB/ 230 K
20 games started of 129 games, 40 saves. Hasn’t started since 2013
Missed the 2014 season. 24 Yrs old, from Venezuela. 6 ft 2 in, RHP.

Spent the entire 2018 season with Single A Lakeland, making a career-high 40 appearances…Named to the Florida State League Midseason All-Star Team…Ranked second in the Florida State League with 15 saves and 34 games finished…Appeared in seven games during the month of April, compiling a 0-1 record with four saves, a 0.84 ERA (10.2IP/1ER) and 13 strikeouts…Pitched in eight games with the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League and had a 1-0 record with a 1.32 ERA (13.2IP/2ER) and 12 strikeouts.
Started 2019 in Erie, promoted to Toledo after 3 appearances, and is pitching well right now, which is more than most of the other potential replacement candidates.

I might have missed it and haven't looked but what's up with Fulmer? Gone for the year?

Miggy’s double tied HOF Billy Williams with 2,711 hits, next hit ties
Dave Parker.
Miggy ties Parker with his 2nd hit of the game.

When is Stewart due back? Get Jones out of the lineup. Pathetic.

Stewart will go back to LF.
Wouldn't surprise me to see them bring up Hill another speedster in CF, and after 4 or 5 injury filled and poor hitting years in the Tigers minors yet now hitting more this year. iirc he is going to be a minor league FA after this year so why not.

Hill still is not hititing. After a good start to the season, he is .203 BAVG .267 OBP .354 SLG .621 OPS in last 28 days. He has only walked 5 times in 103 PAs. Not sure he would be an upgrade over Jones.

First 6 Games

11-25 2 D 1 T 1 HR 1 BB 1 SF .440 BAVG .444 OBP .720 SLG 1.164 OPS

Since

13-69 3 D 1 T 2 HR 4 BB 2 HBP .188 BAVG .253 OBP .348 SLG .601 OPS

But he'd be a change of pace. If I'm at the thought you know what you're getting from player A might as well see what player B can do. I'm all for it.

Hopefully Mercer can make up for that terrible error last inning by actually getting on base
