Need proof that the Detroit Tigers and their fans are concerned about Spencer Torkelson's performance? When the Tigers' go-to media mouthpiece devotes his weekend and today defending Tork in articles and plastering X with 11 tweets praising and defending him.

Tigers medical update: Gio Urshela (right hamstring strain) is scheduled to run the bases again Wednesday at Progressive Field, which could be the final test before he begins a rehab assignment.

Tigers call on hot-hitting Mud Hens OF to jump-start ice-cold lineup.
The Tigers yet again blew a great start by Jack Flaherty. But this time they're trying to do something about it.

Ryan Garko joins to discuss Detroit Tigers' player development department; top prospect Max Clark shares what he's working on. 77 minutes.
It's a packed show today as Mark and Evan welcome on to the podcast Ryan Garko, Detroit Tigers' vice president of player development. Before the guy's get to the interview, Mark and Evan cover the impressive play of Riley Greene. Could the outfielder swing his way into the MVP discussion? The "Days of Roar" crew also continue to monitor Spencer Torkelson's lack of quality performance and they note recent comments made by A. J. Hinch on the matter. Later in the pod, Evan interviews Max Clark and delves into how the young player is progressing in the minor leagues.

New guy just called up promptly swings at 1st pitch after a walk and grounds into DP. 🤦‍♂️

Spencer sees a bunch of pitches. New guy swings at damn first pitch. I know you are excited but make the pitcher work if you can’t get ball in the air.

Don’t say this much. JB picks up the dummy who bounced into a dp.
Rbi single. He can sure run the bases.,

Come on Meada ! He is all over the plate. Dial it in please !
He freaking walks the #9 hitter.

So the day we hit Meada stinks . Typical Tigers luck. 5-3 now runners on 2nd and 3rd.
One out . He was just not a good signing . And we signed him for 2 years.
Pop out for the 2nd out. Ramirez up. He should be walked AJ is just
Stupid . He hits a easy 2-0 pitch 5-5

Ramirez should been walked. Guess it doesn’t matter. Next guy homers 7-5.
This pitcher stinks .What a terrible signing Meada was..
Embarrassing pitching that half inning.

Greene singles
Rogers K’s on a ball.
Spencer works 3-2 count after 0-2 then smokes a double in left field .
Vilade gets behind 0-2 then 1-2 gets his first mlb hit and 2 RBI’s ! 7-7. Single .
Baez 0-2 K’s on three pitches.
Kelly flys out to ff
Bottom 3rd each team has a touchdown and extra point.

Weird game it seems we score but the pitching is let down. We might need to score double digit runs.

We have seen way too many gidp to score a run so far this year. All he needed to do was get the ball in the air.
