DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers have a new-look lineup, and not just because of the absence of Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera.
Manager Brad Ausmus has dropped Nicholas Castellanos from second to sixth in the batting order in order to take the spotlight off him in hopes that he'll overcome a recent slump.
"It's not related to (Martinez and Cabrera) not being available; it's just seeing if we can get Nick swinging the bat the way he was swinging earlier," Ausmus said. "If he starts swinging the bat well, I'll gladly move him back up there."
Castellanos is 7-for-46 (.152) with 13 strikeouts in his last 12 games.
Martinez is out until Monday on paternity leave. Cabrera has a strained oblique.
