hopefully, Fulmer can pull his head out of his ass. He was terrible in May. 6 starts and he had an ERA of 6.32

Devon Travis seems to be regressing. It doesn't seem like he can stay healthy either.

Last 3 years he has played in 62, 101 & 50 games.

Even though the species is Canadian goose, the bird in all probability is originally from Michigan.

While it's possible that the goose might originally be from Canada and could have made the short flight from Windsor to Detroit, had it tried to do so, it probably would have flown straight into the Ambassador Bridge.

Tigers down 4-1 with 2 on and 2 out in the 7th. Fulmer on the hook for all 4 runs

Instead of goose hats and shirts I’d like to see goose call whistles bring in whole flocks for rallies LOL

Boxscore.

WORTH NOTING

* John Hicks replaced James McCann at catcher in the seventh inning. McCann left the game with what the team described as a "left-sided intercostal sprain."

* Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario singled and walked twice, extending his on-base streak to 28 games.

UP NEXT

The Tigers play a day-night doubleheader against the New York Yankees on Monday.

The Yankees will start Luis Severino (8-1, 2.31 ERA) in Game 1 at 1:10 p.m. and Domingo German (0-3, 5.45) in Game 2 at 7:10 p.m.

The Tigers have announced Mike Fiers (4-3, 4.45) as the Game 1 starter.
Game 2 is officially undecided, but it appears likely to be rookie Sandy Baez.

Think I have to agree Gardenhire should let starters get out of their own jams later in games if the PC is still reasonable

ESPN has VerHagen pitching game one and Fiers game 2...but who knows...they are wrong a lot.

Looking ahead they have a doubleheader with NYY then 3 at Boston, 3 at home vs. the Indians then 3 vs the Twins. I think the hot streak is over. I'm predicting 3 or 4 wins.

I read yesterday that it was VerHagen and Fiers too. Baez was brought up as the extra player. VerHagen has been pretty damn impressive since the demotion. Hopefully he trusts his stuff and throws strikes.
