LOL lets rush to get to our amazing bullpen !!! OMG Turnbull was close to 100 pitches , gotta take him out !! Fucking idiots

100-105 seems like max for us. I miss the days of 120 pitch JV. Let the guy pitch, he's not a 20 year old rookie.

Turnbull goes 6 sharp, but Tigers get messy late.

Royals 3 - Tigers 2: Tigers let win fall through their fingers.
A mediocre starting pitcher and sloppy defense were more than the Tigers could handle as Royals rally late to steal the win.

Tigers display power, but defensive lapse costs them game against Royals.

so, the offense can't score more than 2 runs and the pitchers give up 3, but it's the manager's fault?

I'm completely fine with Turnbull coming out after 6 with 0 runs. Keep his ERA low. Hopefully we can get someone to overpay for him at the dead line. Don't get me wrong, I love that he's having a great season so far...but still not 100% convinced this is the real him.

Nick Castellanos needs to run right though Hicks to catch that baseball. He should have been stationary and waiting to catch that, rather than taking a tentative, serpentine path to the ball. He needs to move to LF or 1B.

Is that the criteria? How about winning?

He doesn't let his starters pitch. It's not like we have Mariano Rivera in the BP. 96 pitches when things are going well let him get his own win.

You can have an ERA of 0, if your team never scores a run, you never win. So no, wins IMO are not an important stat. Is ERA good criteria? By itself, it's decent, doesn't paint the entire picture. But it does indicate how many runs you give up per 9 innings.

In the 14 games he's started we've scored 44 runs, or 3.14 per game. Not gonna win many games scoring 3 runs. 3 of which we were shutout.

6 innings and didn't give up a run. He did his job, it was time for someone else to do theirs and they didn't.
