10:40? That could use an edit to remove the zero (if we are talking Eastern Time).

So is this our run outburst for the week, then back to 1 run, 2 run or 0 run production?

6 IP 82 pitches 3 hits 9 Strikeouts. Take Skubal out and let the bullpen hold it into a 10 to 6 final.

Colt Keith after a red hot May is 1-22 in June.

With all the discussions about how the Detroit Tigers have failed to draft well for decades (esp. for #1 draft picks), we are reminded when they did. If you don't count Justin Verlander, you have to go alllll the waaay back to 1976.

#2 - Alan Trammell. #4 - Dan Petry. #5 - Jack Morris. #7 - Ozzie Smith (didn't sign). And a few others like Steve Kemp. They joined Lance Parrish who was drafted 2 years earlier at age 17, and Lou Whitaker who was signed in 1975.

Detroit Tigers sign Miguel Díaz to minor-league deal after cutting him in spring training.
