Looks like Ryan Kreidler has been promoted again. Not sure why but hopefully he hits this time.

Okay looks like Javy went to the 10-day IL.

Lumbar spine inflammation.

Oh Great, Kenta mayday is pitching.

Days of Roar Tigers Podcast: Tough questions on Detroit Tigers' .500 level of play. 56 minutes.
Another 3-3 week for the Detroit Tigers has the "Days of Roar" crew contemplating some tough questions for the ball club. After discussing how the team looks without Kerry Carpenter, Mark and Evan focus in on comments made by president of baseball operations Scott Harris on the MLB Network. How far away are the Tigers from having an established core and what does that timeline even look like? After the break, the guys also examine Scott Harris' comments on Javier Báez. Although the conversation on Baez's diminished hitting seems all but exhausted, Evan has some potentially intriguing data on the struggling shortstop's swing. Later in the pod, the guys cover Kirk Gibson's recent call with 97.1 The Ticket. Are we all being a bit too negative on a team that's only a few games out of a wildcard spot?

The Skubal MVP case: 9 players have won the MVP with losing records, none are pitchers but Skubal numbers are comparable to Kershaw when he won it, better than JV's MVP season. Tigers 10-3 with him, 22-30 without Only plays every 5th day yet Skubal is Top 5 in the AL in WAR.

The Tigers have announced the following roster moves:
Placed INF Javier Báez on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 9, with lumbar spine inflammation.
Recalled INF Ryan Kreidler from Triple A Toledo.

With Javier Baez out, the Tigers won't have an everyday shortstop. A.J. Hinch said Ryan Kreidler and Zach McKinstry will both play a lot. Andy Ibanez could also be an option every now and then.
Javier Baez is traveling to Florida to meet with a doctor. He has already had imaging done. Sounds like the Tigers expect this to be longer than 10 days but tbd beyond that.

Tigers rumors: Detroit willing to listen to offers for Jack Flaherty.
Jack Flaherty is in Detroit on a one-year deal, and the Tigers are willing to see if they can take advantage of his strong start to 2024.

Organization just has no shortstop depth. They were saying on the radio show that the other guy Andrew Steven Navigato isn't as good of a fielder as Kreidler.

Sigh. Harris signed this guy for 2 years. Put him on the dl. He can't find the strike zone according to Dickerson. He needs to get lucky.

So we had 1st and 2nd no outs with decent at bats then the next 3 at bats were typical tiger at bats.

Just yank this bum.
He is so lucky it's only 1-0.

Dickerson is saying he is getting gift strike calls.

Let them know the tigers will throw in Baez as a "Bonus"..

And all we heard this off season is that Harris and co. want guys that "control the strike zone" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

the Tigers should be looking for a team that is over the Luxury tax threshold and take on a guy with a year left that has a terrible contract. There was some team last year that did that and got prospects for just eating the contract. Basically, just buying prospects.

Kenta has his first clean inning in forever and gets pulled. Seriously what the fuck goes into AJ's decisions

Also, what the hell is up with Jobe???? Guy has been out 6 weeks with a hamstring strain???
