Game 7: Vikings @ Lions Thread

Nice kick...least we got something out of the funnle.... albeit Lombardi is going to get Matt killed ...

Nobody blocking on offense, nobody covering on defense. Please don't collapse now.

Unblocked, this offensive line is absolutely killing drives today

at the same time....they are blitzing a lot and were just sitting there doing 5 step drops. its not going to work unless our qb can read a blitz and get the ball out.

Fucking defense is just so soft. Can't win games giving up big chunks on blown coverages

I have to hand it to Stafford. He was called soft in his first two years because of the injuries, but has completely turned it around. He gets destroyed every single week and gets up, goes back to work knowing he's one hit away from death and doesn't ask to come out when he's obviously in great pain.

His play aside, I admire the guy. Just wish he'd be more consistent with his passes.

agreed hes tough. itd be nice to hear what the chatter is in the offensive meetings. I agree our oline has played poorly this year for the most part. But theres a lot the qb can do to help. You hear about how a lot of qbs are in charge of protections and presnap calls. I still don't know how much control Stafford has in this offense....but it doesn't seem like much. Just wonder how much of it is his responsibility in the first place. A lot of sacks come on deep drops.....that usually constitutes a qb problem or misread.

Motherfucker.

At least we called a TO to get more points before the half.

Fuck these long XPs. Good for us this time, but fuck them. I hate the new XP rule.

Yeah the deep drops are going to get Matt hurt....let's see if Joe can get Calvin open again...
