Mercer being reactivated from a long stint on the IL is a net liability, even on this moribund of an offense. But the FO signed and pays him, so they must play him.

Was just looking @ ex-Tiger and former '11 first round draft pick (6th) Jacob Turner's stats on BBR....bounced from being traded to the Marlins, traded to the Cubs picked off waivers by the White Sox signed with the Nats signed back the Marlins, signed back with the Tigers last year and is out of baseball this season...talk about going full-circle and crashing.

Well...that is kinda how it goes when you get fired instead of retired, Mario.

But you were head and shoulders better than what passes for your replacement in Shep, who if you just listened to his broadcasts, would miss about half of the plays on the field.

Rainiest late spring-early summer that I can remember...the grass @ our rented house is growing like weeds (b/c that is what it mostly IS and our landlord doesn't care) it has been hard to find a forecast with a dry day or two to call and have it cut by our lawn service, who has fallen waay behind with their schedules...natch.

Been raining hard for quite awhile now with no letup, and CoPa is only about 8 miles away, so if it continues, this afternoon's game might have to be postponed.

Erm....lessee...its amidst a 4 day holiday weekend, an original 4pm start, and unless they had plans on travelling say "up North" that were cancelled due to poor weather concerns, then hanging around until either the game is postponed or whenever it starts is almost all that can be done outdoors on a very wet and rainy day like this one. The only other option might be going to a park which has roofs over its picnic tables and bbqs.
