Game 85 Tigers vs. red sox 4:00 pm July 6, 2019

You might have a point, had I posted that he gave up a leadoff rbi triple, but I didn't. Kinda nitpicking there, huh?

Yes I was kind of nitpicking as a joke.

I didn?t see what happened on the play, but I figured you meant that he gave up a leadoff triple that lead to a run.

You didn?t say he gave up the lead off RBI triple, but to me it read like that.

So I made a joke (Old comic from a bygone era of a specific ethnic group that can?t be disclosed on the board that?s not the politics board accent)!

So sue me!

Nice divot that you made in cf, bradley jr....didn't even need a golf club.

Although the game of baseball doesn't move along anywhere as quickly as football does, it still can move fast enough where a play is negated, or scored, or affected by another while a post is still being typed.

Game ain't close, when the score is 6-0, and the Tigers offense is involved.

Zimm was pulled for Hardy in the 4th with runners in scoring position...so more runs can be charged to further bloat his era.

7-0.

JC 2 run homer off the RF foulpole...Tigers get on the board!

Harry apparently tripled, but doesn't score...missed the play b/c of being interrupted by NWS (flash flood) warnings that are getting longer and longer in length...even including the occasional "test" screens.

Nick launched one to deep right-center...but not deep enough.

Migwell is due...well...overdue, but he grounds out softly to end the 1-2-3 bot 5th.

Ricky has been a redsox almost as long as he was a Tiger....my how time does fly...

Candy with consecutive homers...7-3...needs to hit another so we get some free small curly fries from Arbys!!

Porcello gives up two consecutive singles to Harry and Becky...PB moves em up.

Wilson comes through with (his first) a 2 rbi single...snugs it up to 7-5!

Scores on Reyes triple to left, 7-6!!

lRuns charged to Ricky, relieved by brewer.

But Vicky left stranded on third by Nicky strikeout.

Stumpf in...then out after Niko botched an IF grounder to second, Bucky in vs mookie with 2 on 1 out.

Works him for 11 pitches...walks to load the sacks.

throws away a sure DP comebacker...
Fuuuckk...Buuuuckk!!

8-6

Harry digs up and preserves the next DP ball to end the redsox rally.

Migwell singles for his first hit of the game leading off the 7th...to second on Stewie single.

Jeimer Ks swinging out of his shoes, trying for a third homer.

Harry singles for his third hit...bases are loaded.

Cmon Niko...at least a sacfly...forceout Miggy at home.

Becky grounds out...Tigers threaten but don't score.

Interesting how some members, even some mods have something to snipe about others, but little if anything about the subject at hand. Likely has a lot to do with why DSF has lost so many regular member contributors over the past 6 years.

I'm out for the remainder of this game thread anyway, its all but over.

Red Sox 10 - Tigers 6: Zimmerman pounded again.
Tigers lose for the 23rd time in the last 26 home games.
BYBTB

Jordan Zimmermann became the first Tiger in 106 years to give up 13 hits in less than four innings. In the end, the Tigers reduced but never erased a deficit created by Boston?s lineup off Zimmermann, who became the first Tigers pitcher to yield 13 hits in less than four innings since Ralph Comstock on Sept. 12, 1913. While the 13 hits marked a career high for Zimmermann, the seven runs allowed raised his ERA to 6.29
