Game 9: Lions @ Vikings Thread

The Lions are continuing to defensive package as much as possible.
In five defensive plays, they had four different defensive looks in the back seven from position and/or personnel.
DC Teryl Austin has been doing this more the past few weeks.

Theo Riddick's 42-yard draw was a career-long rush. It was twice as long as the second-longest run of his career, a 21-yard run in the opening week of the season.

17 play 10 min drive to end the half is insane lol. Lets score straight out of half and get some distance!

The Vikings posted 103 yards in a first quarter that saw Laquon Treadwell make his first career catch (after Sam Bradford got his!), and they've introduced some elements to the offense that look more like what interim offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur has done in his past.
Their current drive has made use of a quicker tempo, and Bradford has found Cordarrelle Patterson on both a screen and a quick slant.
The Vikings also have mixed in a power toss to Ronnie Hillman, as they try to play on the edge of the field and minimize some of their offensive line issues.

Matthew Stafford with a really bad throw under pressure and throws his first interception since Week 4 against Chicago. Went four straight games without one.

Kerry Hyder gets his first sack since Week 4 to stop the Minnesota drive. He now has six on the season.

The Lions' drive spanned 84 yards in 17 plays, and took 9:45 off the clock.
It included three third-down conversions, counting an Xavier Rhodes penalty that gave the Lions new life after a 3rd-and-10.

The Lions offense has been at their best this year with sustained drives. Saw that again with a 17-play, 9 minute, 45 second drive spanning 84 yards to wear down the Minnesota defense.
It resulted in a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Anquan Boldin. It was a drive reminiscent of the Lions in Week 1 against Indianapolis.

again, jim is clueless about what this team is. Wants to establish the run and play good hard defense lol. What fucking universe do you live in jim?

Why so conservative to start the third? Wtf. Caldwell is just a dumb fuck. Use your damn passing attack to set up the run you idiots.

Yep, fucking guy doesn't understand what another score would do for the Lions right now.

it finally looks like we actually have a strategy and it works. Score to end the half. Get the ball back and do 2 runs and a 1 yard pass. Honestly this coaching staff is so fucking stupid.

Battle of the dink and dunks

I'm surprised they haven't gone more to Rudolph
