gameday going to A2 this week

This is great news! Only because I thought we were going to Wisconsin for this game!

Edit: totally changed my prediction for the upcoming prediction thread.

We are going to Wisconsin.

It?s weird, after game day in Ann Arbor in the morning everybody with ESPN Game Day is going to get on the bus And head straight to Madison for the night game.

It?s going to be the first time in the history of ESPN Game Day that they have done game day from the visiting teams campus and then went to the game site afterwards.

Novel idea Tinsel! This could be done for many of Michigan's games. Especially the game with Sparty, and OSU.

They should have Gameday in the library, instead of out in a rowdy field outside the stadium.

each host will select a book from the library, then spend 5 minutes promoting the book, and urging the audience to go read instead of sitting and watching the game.

Lee Corso will pick a famous author each week, like he picks game winners, by pulling out a giant costume head of the author and put it on.

he'll pick "Norman Mailer" and put on a giant Norman Mailer head, and then headbutt Kirk Herbstreit unconscious with it.

Jim Carey could be the guest picker, and he could read The Great Gatsby impersonating Andy Kaufman being a British character.

Jim Carrey did a football movie once didn’t he? Ace Ventura, Pet Detective?

I would say the game of football was only tangential to the plot of that movie.

I like the idea of having him as a guest picker though...

"And now, Jim Carey will read The Great Gatsby, as Andy Kaufman."

*crowd's light laughter turns to horror as they realize he's really going to read the entire book*

Jim Carey is out there. I don't think he'd pick football teams. He'd say none of it is real or insist we're scoring the games incorrectly then pick either Nike or Adidas as the winner in each matchup.

I'd watch.

Well I say he would be the best guest picker in MichChamp?s library GameDay scenario.

How else are you going to lead up to Corso head butting Herbstreit wearing a Norman Mailer head?

Hmm I seem to recall them doing it from the Diag in recent years?

That's as good a place on campus as any, I guess.

Right in front of the Grad Library.

Hopefully they don't cover up the bronze "M" in the middle of it. that would be sacrilegious

I know both teams are ranked, but kinda surprised they picked this over UGA/LSU.

but in terms of actual appeal among people who aren't complete trash, this is a better game.

the PennSt game will probably be a bigger deal though.

but the OSU game is only two weeks after that. maybe they don't want to go to Michigan games so close together.

ah that makes sense.

I always thought they just picked the biggest game, regardless of the network it was televised on

There used to be a parking lot between the Natural Science Bldg. and Chemistry Bldg. I recall them doing the show one time at the end of that parking lot. This was long after I was at Michigan, but I recognized the spot.

I’m sorry but Corso is absolutely unwatchable. It’s obviously not his fault but it’s becoming dick Clark New Year’s Eve levels of bad/sad. Force him to retire at the end of the season because the product is awful.

Yeah, agree with this. His speech is slurred and most of the time you are just waiting for him to lose track of what is being discussed. Who could they get to replace him?
