God that shovel pass hurt

Oregon running the table in a convincing fashion would be the biggest thing that would help us(outside of us winning out of course). If our only loss is to the clear cut #1 on the road I like our chances.

Way too early to talk playoff scenarios. The Big Ten was weak last year and perceived as such. I don't remember what MSU was ranked prior to the Rose Bowl but it was close to the top 4, and I think last year's Rose Bowl win gives them a little more of the benefit of the doubt, despite the conference showing overall. Their 1 loss last year was also worse. One thing working against them is if they run the table to the Big Ten Championship game where almost certainly won't be another top ten team waiting for them as an opponent the way OSU was last year.

Wisky is #18 right now. I'm willing to bet they'd be top 10 if they win out the reg season.

last year, we had a loss that was worse, a few weeks later and we ended up 4th in the BCS, we would have been the last team in. We had the benefit of playing a better OSU team but I'm just saying that losing @ Oregon in week 2 isn't a death sentence for your playoff hopes

Im satisfied by 2-3 quarters of play, we werent expected to win this but controlled most of the game. Its not the W I wanted but im not overly upset about it.

Don't agree with this sentiment and you can bet that Dantonio is not satisfied. Spartans looked great for 2.5 quarters and yes, this was always going to be a tough game to win. The way it got out of control, however, was not good and should fuel this team going forward.
