Great win beating #9 MSU last night and now tonight has brought some helpful losses.

#11 UConn loses at home to Cincy
#13 IU loses at Nebraska
#15 Mississippi St loses at Ole Miss

#16 San Diego State is currently in a dogfight with the Lobos. Hopefully New Mexico can pull out the win in The Pit tonight.

Won't happen unless MIchigan wins at Arkansas, which will be tough.

Looking at the schedule, I just hope Michigan wins enough games to make the tournament.

+1 to the second statement. Our schedule is insane the rest of the way.

This makes Arkansas a must win. Purdue will be a tough road game and then the big games start. Ohio, Indiana, and Sparty all in a row. Yikes. If we lose the next two, I'll predict that we're a bubble team entering the B1G tourny.

Tough schedule but if we are good enough we will win 20 and make the NCAA... I just don't get the USA today sagarin rankings...And it appears these rankings are through yesterday... Bullshit..

MSU is 8th with a 77.30 sos, Wisconsin is 11th with a 75.71sos, Memphis is 26th with a 77.68 sos, and Michigan is 30th with a 77.25 sos, and we have beaten all fucking three of them..

Verses top 25
MSU 3-2
Wisconsin 1-3
Memphis 0-3
Michigan 2-3

With how tough the Big Ten is 18 or 19 wins probably gets us in. Twenty and its a lock.. But this year I think we will make a deep Big ten tourney run and that will help.. The big ten is going to get a lot of teams in. We have been ranked the whole year so that has to help.. we are young and struggle on the road so it would be nice to solve that this weekend at Arkansas with a big win... Some of the teams we beat other then the ranked teams are starting to pick up wins. ISU is 15-4, and UCLA is 10-7 so every little bit helps... Only one bad loss so far...

BestIsBest[/color]]Looking back the loss at Virginia was a killer.

Well they are 14-2 for a reason i guess and it was off of maui and on the road...Not a bad loss..Would have helped though that is for sure..

Man all of Arkansas five losses are to teams with a winning record..

after looking at our schedule for the next couple weeks, I'm going to ignore the polls and just hope we can get through it with enough wins to stay a few games above 0.500.

Yeesh.

Winning record isn't much of a barometer in college basketball. And actually that isn't true. They lost to a 9-9 Houston team at home.

They've played a cream puff schedule, only decent wins are over 15-4 Miss St and 12-6 LSU.

We match up pretty well with Arkansas. Their top 5 scorers are all guards. They get very little production from the inside since their best player, Marshawn Powell, went down for the year. Their leading scoring big man, Marvell Waithe, is 6'9 195lbs. So it's not like he is a load to deal with inside. Just have to handle their full court pressure and play smart. Can't let that pressure force us into making bad decisions and playing too fast.

I hope you are right and we crush them or just win... We need to get off the snide on the road..

I guess Burke is the key then... Brake the press get some easy buckets...

Well, I didn't say anything about how UM would do against them, just pointing out that their resume is pretty weak. I'm guessing it'll be a tough one.

If they don't make the tournament, it will be absolute shame. They have plenty of winnable games left (Purdue twice, Nebraska, Indiana home, Penn State, Northwestern, Illinois home). Already at 15 wins, and have the tournament.

I agree... This team has to much talent to have that type of collapse... Just need Evan and tim to break out of their slumps...
