graham likely not to play vs lions

And when we beat the 'Aints without Graham, it's just going to be another reason "why we haven't made that next step yet" lol.

I wont jump to that conclusion for the mere fact they have drew brees and still plenty of options whether it be cooks, colston, and a trio of running backs that are all productive (Ingraham will be back). If we make brees look like teddy bridgewater Im buying a levy jersey lol.

Saints are going down!!

Tony, it's much to early to say whether or not this team has made the next step. Remember, they went 6-2 with Hot Rod and they were being talked about as the class of the NFC. When this team makes the playoffs (or wins the division), wins a playoff game OR TWO, then we can say they have made the next step.

Defense is fantastic, the offense looks like crap, special teams can't kick. We'll see what happens.

I'll buy the entire defensive unit AND Chris Greenwood ... just for fun.

I agree.

But, if the offense isn't better.....however good the defense plays won't matter. There is no way the Lions win this game scoring 17 or less.

Stafford needs to improve this week... CJ or not.

So does Lombardi. He is so fucking conservative in the red zone its mind boggling. Time to open it up a little bit.

Maybe instead of consistently reminding the fans how much of a match up nightmare Ebron is, that they actually use him in a game?

What exactly is the next step? Is it just a better record than last year, or is it marked improvement of play? The former we won't know about until the end of the year, the latter should already be apparent. The defense is light years ahead of where it was last year and the rest of the last decade. The offense isn't scoring a whole lot lately, but grabbing two wins in three games with a hobbled Calvin actually still looks like progress. If this was 2013, those would be three losses where the team would have been lucky to score any points at all.

I don't know yet if the team is going to the playoffs, the second half of their schedule is tougher than the first half (something many fans completely ignore when they talk about "slow starting teams" or "second half collapses"). But are they better than last year? Yeah, they certainly look to be better.

Our defense has been awesome but dont know if they are going to keep up the numbers through the end of the year.

We are winning without CJ but thats on the defense not the offense. Our o-line needs to man up and start protecting Stafford and Stafford needs to get rid of the ball quicker.

I want to see at least 4 wins in the second half of the season to start to believe this is not the same Lions

Looking at the schedule, I figure 4 wins in the last 8 games exactly. Miami is up and down, but we get them at home. Tampa and Minny aren't any good and we play them at home. I expect to split our games with Chi and GB, so that's one more win against Chi. I'm expecting losses @AZ, @NE, @GB, and one of the Chi games.
