Greenberg slams Tigers to World Series

Thanks Ty!!!! Hammering Hank I never get tired of reading about the Tigers in 1945... This is the greatest line in this article.

'The Tigers lost Hank Greenberg for 4 ? years to World War II.'

Can you imagine if the Tigers had him... They would have won the pennant in 1944 for sure and he was one of the first stars to go in the service and when he was disqualified he applied again after Pearl Harbor. Thank you Hank... A Great American and a great Tiger..

Gotta respect those who go off to war and/or protect our country and leave everything you know behind. Takes guts and passion.

Greenberg was the man. My great-grandma loved him (or so I am told). When my grandma talked about her mother, Hank Greenberg and ladies day were almost always mentioned.
