Guardians-Tigers PPD on Fri.; twin bill July 4.

DETROIT -- For the second time in a week, rain has postponed the Tigers and Guardians, this time on Friday at Comerica Park.

The two teams will make up the game as part of a split doubleheader on Monday, July 4. The originally scheduled game will begin at 1:10 p.m. ET, with the makeup game starting at 6:40 p.m. ET. All tickets for Friday?s game can be used for the second game, or can be exchanged for any future same-priced ticket for a home game within the next 12 months, not including the 2023 home opener.

Both teams pushed back their starters from Friday. Tigers rookie Alex Faedo and Cleveland ace Shane Bieber will start on Saturday in a 4:10 p.m. ET contest. Elvin Rodriguez will start for Detroit opposite Triston McKenzie in Sunday?s series finale at 1:40 p.m. ET.

The July 4 doubleheader means the Tigers will play 19 games in 17 days in four different cities before the All-Star break. That includes doubleheaders on consecutive Mondays against the Guardians (July 4) and the Royals (July 11) in Kansas City.

And I just turned it on on my FOX Sports app. Game sure doesn?t look like it?s rained out to me.

Faedo has been great this year. 5 starts never given up more than 2 runs or went less than 5 innings. Not bad for missing the last 2 years

The Barnes signing never made much sense to me. He's never been good, like anywhere

Wonder how many more losses we'd have without the shitty Castros hitting so well lol

What we they do, they need to find away to keep Harold Castro in the lineup vs righties at all times. Imo he is the best hitter on the team

Guardians 8 - Tigers 1: Faedo can?t keep up with Bieber in Round 2.
Alex Faedo produced his first quality start for the Tigers, but no run support is hard to win with.
BYBTB

Alex Faedo has tossed at least 5.0 innings and allowed no more than two runs in each of his five big league outings.
According to EliasSports , he's the first Major Leaguer to have that long of a streak to start his career since Steven Matz in 2015.

Detroit Tigers silenced again by Cleveland Guardians and Shane Bieber, 8-1.
Freep

Designated hitter Miguel Cabrera was pulled in the eighth inning for pinch-hitter Eric Haase due to lower back tightness.
Detroit enters Sunday's rubber match with a 16-29 record.

10 freaking hits and only 1 extra base hit and 8 lob?s.

PATHETIC. !!!
