It's possible that he's playing himself out of the lottery for next years draft. You don't see too many shooting guards go in the lottery or even 1st round for that matter that shoot 40% from the field in college.

Going into the season I thought there was 0% that he'd be back next year barring an injury. But the way he's shot the ball all season he may be playing his way back to MSU next year.

he hinted early on that he might come back, now it might be the smart move. nba scouts aren't loving those 7-17 games

It's also the way those "7-17" games are going. He's really missing a lot of open looks. He's letting the 3 become too much of his game. He needs to be more aggressive taking it to the basket like on the play that he posterized Stauskas today.

If he has a big NCAA tournament, the scouts will be on board again. That said, I've questioned the projections that had him in the top 10. 6-4 shooting guards don't go that high unless they're lights out shooters or off the charts athletic, or both. He does have the fact that he's a good defender working for him.

I agree he could much more to attack the basket than he has, especially when the shot isn't falling. Compare the stats of him and Stauskas. Harris has put up considerably more 3 pointers in fewer games and has fewer free throw attempts. He's too talented to be that one-dimensional.

The defense ability isnt nearly important in the NBA as it is the NCAA, He isnt ready to go. He is becoming 1 dimensional and he CAN take it to the hole. Were not seeing his full ability recently.

The defensive effort wasnt there today. Too many uncontested shots and Appling was an offensive option before but no longer. Things have taken a nasty turn the last few weeks

Michigan just played well, 3 to's in 40 minutes is unbelievable.

I'm not as mad about this game as I am about the michigan game in east Lansing and Nebraska. That's where we lost this season. Of course if we were at full strength wed run away with the big ten but that didn't happen. We had shitty luck this year and it may cost us a chance at a title. This just blows but we're not the first team to have injuries, Wisconsin 2007, cincy 2000, duke 2011, etc.

Agreed. The Nebraska loss will end up being the killer. I think Stauskas wrapped up Big Ten POY today. Some of the shots he was hitting were ridiculous. Yes he had a lot of inches on Appling, but Appling was right there on all of them.

he's a great offensive player, he has size and quickness, can create his shot off the dribble which is huge. most great shooters just come off screens and look for daylight, he can do that but he can create.

I still think we'd have been a lot better off with Harris on him, he played well against him in EL. Stauskas got his points but a lot of them were on switches or when Harris was on the bench, we did a good job of denying him open shots in EL.
