I've always wondered about Manush and why he was traded before he had some even better seasons than with the Tigers.
You got any info on that Ty?

Tiger management thought he was washed up after a down year. Big mistake. However, getting rid of Manush led the Tigers to acquire Goose Goslin....and that worked out well. So, it was not quite a Jim Bunning level blunder.

They thought that Manush was washed up after one down year, despite his winning the batting title just a season earlier?

wow...:ashamed:

That was quite a few years later they got Goslin and it was on the downside of his career.
