defensive tds in a game per the notes on mgoblue
Fifth-year senior linebacker Brandon Herron became the first Michigan player in the modern era to record two defensive touchdowns in a single game -- on a 94-yard interception return in the second quarter and a 29-yard fumble recovery in the third. They were the first and second touchdowns of Herron's career, while the interception was the first and the fumble recovery was the second of his career.
Herron's 94-yard touchdown was the longest interception return for a touchdown in Michigan program history. The previous record was 92 yards, held by Ken Tureaud (vs. UCLA, Sept. 30, 1961) and Thom Darden (vs. UCLA, Sept. 25, 1971). It was also Michigan's first interception for a touchdown in two seasons, dating back to Donovan Warren's 40-yard return at Iowa (Oct. 10, 2009).
