He's got a point ya know

Tigers have 88 HRs but only 34 at home.

Tigers opponents have 146 total HRs vs the Tigers and 80 at Copa.

So much for Nick C?s argument. The Tigers have been dreadful at home this season and it has nothing to do with the park.

Nick C doesn't get the chance to hit against our pitching tho lol . Park is def a joke and if you're a hitter would you wanna come here ?

Between 2006-2015, DET was 10th in MLB in HRs (1,729).

HOME = 1,432 D 226 T 873 HR .282 BAVG .345 OBP .446 SLG .791 OPS

AWAY = 1,542 D 143 T 856 HR .266 BAVG .328 OBP .418 SLG .746 OPS

Tiger pitchers gave up 1,578, 11th in MLB in least allowed.

HOME = 763 HR .259 BAVG .322 OBP .404 SLG .726 OPS

AWAY = 815 HR .264 BAVG .333 OBP .418 SLG .751 OPS

Statistical data does not support the argument.

Interesting you use years where we had much better players on the team ( hence bigger HR totals ) guess the past few years where we have sucked just doesn't count

Move the fence in so miggy can get more out

You hear Nick saying he talks to other players and they are like " how do you play 81 games here " ....that's why i say how if you're a FA hitter , would you really chose to come here when you can go to band boxes like Yankee stadium and others ?

It's a large sample size with a wide variety of teams. More HRs at home than on the road over a 10 year period.

Center Field in Detroit is one of the farthest in all of MLB, but pales in comparison to the old Tiger’s stadium 440 ft. center field wall.

Nick's just frustrated. He's been a good teammate by all accounts. I'll give him a pass.

I’d be frustrated to if all I’ve been hearing for two years is about how they are going to trade me I’m sure he can’t wait to get the **** outta here

2004-Present, all HRs, both teams

Copa = 2,695

Away = 2,748

I assume 53 HRs over 16 seasons is a lot to gripe about.

Miggy at one time hit plenty here. Plus opposing players don't seem to have a problem.

Maybe we are the only team hitting without juiced balls

This season so far 13 stadiums have a PF lower than Detroit. And when did Nick think he was a home run hitter.

I think Nick went to Brandon Inge's seminar on how to be a graceful team player when the organization wants you gone. Nick should examine why that's the case and realize he's one of 19,000+ men in the history of existence who has ever played Major League Baseball and he's making $9,000,000+ a season to be a decent player with some glaring faults.

Tigers have treated him well. Never went to arbitration and he was making $500,000 four seasons ago. Do not know what his comps are but I have no empathy for his gripe.

That was a different area code out there. With the in-play flag pole. IIRC Kaline hit a ball out there against the O's that Paul Blair had to go behind the flagpole to retrieve.
