Honey Badger

So are 50% of the rest of them. Cant run and hide forever. Just need to do your research and trust it. I think he has turned a corner. We need a game changer on defense and s/t and this kid can be just that. If he is there in the third, we could potentially go de, ol, cb and get three needs. Just saying I think he is worth a look.

Detroit Lions motto, if you don't smoke weed we don't want you.

I would take a flyer on the kid in the 4th or later and convert him to safety. I know he's small but he would just be our cover safety. We've wanted to be able to go more press man on the outside with some bigger corners, drop a single, smaller, ball hawking safety deep while keeping a bigger box safety closer to help with the underneath middle of the field stuff and run support in the mold of Seattle. I think Honey Badger might actually be a decent little crooklyn version of Earl Thomas.

With the character concerns he has and the backlash Mayhew would get for pulling the trigger on em he'll never be there at a point where he would be viewed as an acceptable risk/reward pick by our fans, though.

I agree. 4th or later, no reason not to try. But, in all likelihood, some team with a better locker-room will take him in the 3rd and he'll be a steal in the Asante Samuel mold (great defending the ball, poor in run support).

LOL...let's take another huge gamble!

Fantastic way to look at it. You're right, sometimes it turns out like Titus Young....no doubt about it.

Sometimes, it turns out like Randy Moss.....who was the 21st overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft.......

Oh yeah.....pick #20.....none other than our very own Terry Fair.

Point is, don't make picks based on what has happened in the past.....it's stupid.

Personally, if he is there at the top of the 3rd, I'd take him......depending on if Chris Houston is re-signed and who our first 2 picks are, of course.

I found it funny that in an interview he did today he mentioned Calvin. And how if he was covering him he may get a few catches but he would also get a few int's. I thought at the time. The only time you will cover him is in practice lol.
