Hoops Unranked to #4 in AP

I just noticed that. I had started my thread and got interrupted at work. You won the race once that happened.

What hurts is that I used our own personal annual catch phrase for the thread title, and you didn?t even notice.

I would be living a lie if I tried to hide my feelings about that.

I understand that is how most feel, but I have always liked basketball more than football. Michigan basketball is the reason I became a Michigan fan as a kid.

I wish the football program was better, but it is what it is. It's sad the rivalry with OSU is dead, but we are so far removed with how we approach the sport that it is dead. Justin Fields doesn't even go to school. All of his classes are online and if anyone thinks he is the one taking them, then I'd like to interest you in investing in my new company. I have gorillas building replicas of vintage Model Ts to sell to a huge community of car collectors who love Dian Fossey. You're going to get at least a three million percent return on your investment.

How are we supposed to compete with a program that cuts every corner on Earth? It's impossible and that's why I don't really care about it anymore.

Deserving, I would've put them 1. Won't find 2 better wins.

Howard has a better resume in a week than Harbs in 5 years.

Sorry, had to

That's what happens when NCAA sports became a business. Schools make exceptions for the athletes that support the athletic departments (mostly Football & men's b-ball players)

Pretty much. There won't be anything close to a level field until each individual state passes laws for players to get paid off their likeness. The nonsense the NCAA passed this year is irrelevant. They are allowing players to benefit off their likeness, but the benefit has to be tethered to education. No cash.

This could help level the playing field because there is no cooler image than the Michigan football uniform, because...ya know...?our helmets got wings!?

Only #5 in coaches rankings.

Those damned cocksuckers.

Anthony Wright calls out voters for the AP and I can't believe some of their idiotic rankings.

Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star has us ranked 9th. He has Gonzaga 8th. Because you know there's no head to head result on a neutral court or anything.

Adam Grosbard of the Orange County Register has us 12th. He has UNC 4th and Gonzaga 10th.

You figure the voters would take the time to at least know what the hell is going on in the sport.

Gonzaga is the Notre Dame of college basketball - perennially overrated. They may squeak out a win or a close loss to AZ or UNC then go back out west and win all their WCC games by 15+, finish the season ranked in the top 8 or better then lose to the first good team they play in the tournament.

They are playing the Louisville game from 2017 on BTN.

Pitino's last game

Watching this game, I was like where is all the cheering coming from, because there wasn't a lot of Michigan fans. Then I realized Kentucky fan was throughout the building cheering on the Wolverines. The game was played in Indiana so a lot of Kentucky people in the building.
