KEYS
Size Advantage: Iowa has no one who can guard Dickinson. Last time they chose to double and he dished out seven assists. Their lack of size also allowed Moussa to go off for a career high 28 points. Iowa ran multiple defenders at Moussa and none of them worked. If Hunter and Moussa can get touches and score consistently in the paint, they should be able to control the game. Iowa will throw anything that will stick at them, but they don't have the personnel to defend our two bigs if they are playing up to their offensive ability.
Keegan Murray: Held Murry to 9-23 from the floor in the first meeting. He had 23 points, but forcing him to get that on 23 shots is ideal. He'll get his tonight, but can the defense force him to get his in an inefficient manner? I assume he'll play better than the first meeting, but Michigan can't allow him to have one of his nights where he shoots 60+%.
Jones/Houstan: Jones was tremendous in the first meeting. He turned rebounds and steals into transition points and looked right at home playing at Iowa's frenetic pace. He, along with Hunter, also setup great catch and shoot looks throughout the game. However, Michigan went 4-20 from 3-point range. 4-18 of those were on catch and shoot and transition 3-point looks. They were really good looks, they just didn't fall. Houstan was 0-5, but he's obviously been shooting much better lately and he's been better at Crisler all year than on the road. If our guards/wings can hit a few more open shots, the offense could be even better than when they scored 1.11 points per possession at Iowa.
GO BLUE!
