Hoopster's favorite player cut

After the first 2 years of their careers Freeman and Sanchez both looked better than Staff based mainly on injuries. I know many on this board dont like Stafford. I still like him but I will also admit that this is a make or break year for him.

I wouldn't mind him as a cheap back up qb options. guy is a head case but I think it helps if hes brought into a situation where he knows hes a back up and doesn't have expectations to be anything more than that.

Like Minnesota for the most part, then the Giants? No thanks.

MIN they threw him tot he fire as a starter and he failed miserably which crushed his already fragile confidence. bring him in...pay him dirt...and tell him hes going to hold a clipboard until Stafford gets injured....and you wont see those issues. Bottom line is hes better than fucking dan orlovsky.

Brilliant plan....my God lol

I don't blame Min or NYG at all for kicking the tires on him. But his mind is too far gone. No thanks.

I remember when Slick said he'd be the best of the three..

not exactly sure how you say who ended up the best of the 3. Sanchez has had the most team success. Stafford has the numbers but has one of the worst records ever. Freeman was selected mid 1st round and had just as many good years as either sanchez or Stafford. You could argue any was better than the other. Stafford has done the worst job living up to expectations since he was the one picked 1 overall and getting paid 90 mil. You could also argue all 3 suck lol.

You a bigger tool than LKP if you actually believe Stafford isn't the best of those three.

I would fully support this under two conditions:

1. Stafford completely outshines Freeman.
2. Hoopster was still around.

I would greatly enjoy hoopster's online implosion. Aside from that, not too interested.

Everyone keeps telling me we have a talented team. Talented team with a #1 overall pick at qb = 4 wins then 7 wins? So we either don't have a talented team....or we don't have a talented qb. Something is off.....

Talented but turnover prone. You can be both. And alot of the turnovers had to due with weapon injuries. Calvin,Burleson,Broyles are talented but two of them missed half the season and one missed 2 games and was banged up most of the season. Pettigrew is talented as a blocker and underneath guy, not a seam guy, so we get Ebron.

Oline is talented but they had some off games run blocking (many of our losses actually and most of them were missing Waddle (good run blocker).

Defense is talented too but was inexperienced in some areas (Slay,Ansah/Taylor). Fairley is clearly talented but inconsistent. Tulloch/Levy/Quin had big years. Delmas had talent but his knees hindered that some with practice time and a step slow. Suh is elite. Jones was hurt.

I'll say this... Freeman has talent. We've all seen the kid play, and prior to 2013, he was a good to better than good QB. He made plays. He won games. He managed the field and the clock. He did everything you'd want a QB to do.

Not at an elite level, but he did the things he needed to do to be an effective starting QB.

Then the wheels came off. I'm not sure if they can ever be put back on or if it's just a wreck.

And worst of all, I'm not sure what happened. He didn't have a major injury he couldn't bounce back from. He didn't have any reason for the very rapid decline.

It's a mystery to me.

He enjoys the nightlife too much. That's the problem...

even more of a reason to come to Detroit.....there is no nightlife....

Between the bars, resturants, and casinos, not including sports games, I actually find myself downtown quite often. Maybe because I have a slight gambling problem but still there is plenty of places to go downtown......
