I know I haven't been around much since the ESPN boards went to hell, but I was just thinking of something and just wanted some input. Now I know theres about a zero percent chance of this happening, but if you could have one would you want Harvin or Revis?

Was just an interesting topic to me even though Harvin is obviously not an option, especially with us being in same division and Revis would be unlikely with our cap problems.

I think Revis would obviously give us that player who can come in and lock down any player we want on any given play which is a ridiculous advantage on defense. To me though we have so much invested on offense with Stafford and Calvin and if we ever go anywhere those two will be the centerpiece and I think it also makes sense to build around that. Harvin could be the most dangerous weapon in the NFL because he can do it all, run, catch, and return kicks. Throwing him on the field with Calvin could open up this offense so much and make us incredibly dangerous.

Now like I said above these two players are pretty much out of the picture, but I just think if push comes to shove I would take that player on offense to take us to another level then the defender. Just my two cents.

Harvin. Assuming both would get paid.

If Revis is 100% healthy I take him. Reason being is Revis is the best in the NFL at his postion, while Harvin is a good player but not on the same level. I would also like to finally have a shutdown corner that would allow us to look at some pass rushers in the draft and build up the defense. The offense obviously needs help to be great but its already very good. The defense needs help to move from trash to decent. With the pieces we could resign and add Revis that defense might even be good instead of decent.

If he's healthy. Unfortunately even with this hypothetical, you have to look at his injury.

Yea thats the issue. Is this his second major injury or first? I remember he had a significant hamstring? tear i believe a while back and now his knee.

I dont know how significant the tear was but remember him missing 4 or 5 games after Moss beat him. Funny, I remember thinking that Revis faked the injury(at the time of the injury) to cover up the fact hed just been beaten deep by the guy he always talked shit about.
