Brendan Boesch has 256 plate appearances , and 243 official at bats. He has k'd 47 times and only walked 8 times.. Delmon Young has 230 plate appearances and 218 official at bats. He has k'd 43 times and only walked 7 times.. As a team we rank 23rd with 187 walks (not sure if today's was in there)... i wish we took some more walks.... We could get Miguel and prince more at bats....

AJ has a pretty damn good stat line... Nice to see i want him to turn out better then Granderson..
323/.405/.559/.964

His OBP is sweetness..

Granderson is all power. low average, not near the defense AJ has. AJ is having a better 2012. He had a better 2010, Granderson had the better 2011.

So far, we're winning.

I just hope BB and DY can be better soon...Before BB was hurt his obp was .341 last season... Young is just and enigma to me. I just don't know why the Tigers wanted him... we have so many free swingers.. A career .319 OBP.. he cannot run or field..

I would give 2010 to Granderson as well.

2010

Granderson .792 OPS

Jackson .745 OPS

Cabrera's walk rate is the lowest since he was a rookie too.

We're not a patient team, top to bottom, excluding Ajax.

Excluding Avila too, when he returns.

Not sure whats up with Cabrera and Fielder this year.

honestly i think theyre being less patient because they feel they have to do more with all the current holes in the lineup.

I'll take the more consistent average. Plus, AJ had a better offensive WAR and a better defensive WAR. 2010 I'd take AJ.

Ajax had the better year for a leadoff hitter, he had a lot higher OBP than grandy and played better defense. if ajax was a middle of the order hitter yeah, id say grandy had the better year based on his OPS. but power isnt something we needed out of leadoff.

granderson OPS is helped from playing in a bathtub half his games. Good Ridiance Granderson...we have a much better, cheaper, and younger replacement.

It's easy to say much better right now, last year people were wanting to burn Leyland at the stake for not batting him 9th or benching him.

The question of who got the better deal will take years to play out fully.

I agree, some if it still comes from a philososphy they have in the system, and the teachings in player development.

it wasn't just Granderson for Jackson.

Oh geez, look who is agreeing with me now. Can I change my opinion?

No kidding?

I'm talking the comparison that;s been made hundreds of times between Ajax and Grandy.

I realize Coke, Scherzer, Schlereth, E. Jackson, and Ian Kennedy were all part of the deal also.

well I'm saying we won the trade. Don't need anymore years to tell me that. Granderson is just a nice little lefty with enough power to hit 30 for the Yankees. Boesch could do that too.

Boesch does have that 340 foot pop fly down good. Almost like he practices it.
