Florida State, Auburn, Alabama and MSU are unanimous top for in all polls.

Would this likely be the top 4 in the Playoff?????

if it were and they were seeded 1-4 as listed and ranked in all the polls.

#1 FSU vs #4 MSU
#2 Auburn vs #3 Alabama

that's better than the BCS system, though I think Stanford should get a shot too. Bama should've beaten Auburn to prevent that nonsense.

but it's not that big of a deal; people say "someone will always complain" but it's different when it's a 12-1 team complaining, not a 11-2 team, so I'm glad the BCS will be gone next year.

it's still bullshit that it will be all neutral site games, it will be a horrible atmosphere. who's going to travel to Miami for a semifinal? if it were MSU, i'd save my money and time, not go to the semifinal and then go to the final if they win.

imagine FSU or Bama coming to Michigan or MSU in the winter?

So you're suggesting that the number 1 seed gets to play home?
I personally think that that number 1 and number 2 teams should play at home in the first round and then the final be played on a neutral site. That seems like the common sense thing to do.

Yes but I believe its all neutral site now.

they will all be sold out. You might be one that wants to wait for the NC game but there will be more than enough people that will want to go to the semi finals.

really? it's tough to get people to travel and fill two stadiums twice in two weeks.

The new system will suck almost as much as the current one. I think if you can't win your conference you shouldn't have a shot at the national title. Every year you will have more than 1 SEC team in, which means rematches.

how about the 4 highest ranked conference champions?

FSU, Auburn, MSU, Stanford?

I would love that, hopefully that's how it will workout. But the SEC would bitch and complain that Bama deserves it more than MSU or Stanford.

that should be how it goes, but for whatever reason, the SEC apparently has enough clout to get the format that allows them the possibility that two SEC teams will make it in.

I guess, there's a chance that no SEC teams would make it in this case, but I doubt it. given the way the polls are rigged to favor the SEC at the start of the season, you'd basically need to have four non-SEC teams start the season in the Top 5 or close to it & all four run the table.

it's pretty easy to see through the scheme at this point. I don't understand why Delaney and the more reasonable conference heads haven't been able to thwart it yet. maybe having ESPN in their pocket gives the SEC way more clout than we can imagine.

unfortunately, the SEC has earned that right. I would put in Bama over MSU or Stanford if the last spot was between the three teams.

Well if Bama made it in, why should Auburn have to play them possibly twice to win it all. So Bama gets in without having to play in a conference championship while the loser of the game gets jumped? The same thing happened to LSU and it was bullshit to make LSU play Bama twice after beating Bama on the road.

Auburn is in because of a fluke TD vs. Georgia. Bama got beat on a miricale return of a missed FG. Those are the breaks! If they are going to go with the top 4 they should use the best 4 teams regardless of the conference they are in.

Bama got beat on the field, the BCS is done on paper. They didn't even win their division of their conference. Why should the play for a title? OSU has 1 loss, should they be one of the 4? They at least played in the conference championship. What makes Bama better than any other 1 loss team besides what pollsters and analysts say? On the field should be everything not opinions, recruiting stars, and passing eye tests.

MSU has a loss too. Why should it matter when the loss happened?

It shouldn't matter if you win your conference and are one of the 4 highest ranked conference champs.

I'd have have to agree. if it were the big ten that was superior and not the SEC you'd her the same bitching from SEC fans
