we would be playing the AL East winner right? Yanks and sox are tied at the top, and the top seeded team in the AL plays the wildcard unless they are a division opponent...correct? If that's the case, they play the lowest seeded division winner...which would be us. Do I have that right?

Yea we play the Yankees. Texas vs. Red Sox;

Only way the Yankees and Red Sox could play first round is if neither of them had the best record in AL or the Worst. Becuase the team with the best record will always play the team with the worst record, unless that team is a wild card from their own division.

Out of the 4 teams in the race I would prefer to play against the Yankees. If Verlander beats CC, our rotation is better than the rest of the Yankees'. Plus in our ballpark, Granderson won't have near as much success without that short porch. Plus our Bullpen is much much better.

okay, that's what i thought. Indians lost today too. Killing themselves quickly.
