if the Tigers should lose 3 straight in the playof

I would be disappointed. I am truly expecting a serious world series run. I don't think we should lose to the Yanks. The winner of Rangers-Rays will be the hotter of the two and a difficult challenge in the ALCS. I won't be satified with just making the playoffs.

Prior to their acquiring Fister and Young, and then crushing their division competition in September, I would have been satisfied with the Tigers winning the CD title, then playing in the postseason, but making little if any noise, winning at best a game or two, before bowing out. But due to the way the month of September turned out, I would be VERY disappointed if the Yanx sweep the Tigers, or perhaps JV winning their lone game out of four. The Tigers should at least give the Yanx all that they can handle, and IF they lose, doing so in game 5 in a close score if not extra innings..JMO.

We all will be pissed but regardless it has been a good season..... 95 freaking wins..... Hell yeah...
So nice to have a baseball team and a football team that is good...

Uhhh...Red Wings?!?

That was the ONLY Detroit pro-sports team that got me through the 90s and (with the lone exception of the Pistons being World Champs in '04) early 00s during the disappointing Lions+Sanders seasons, when the Lions mustered only ONE playoff win and it was early in his career.

The Tigers were all too often completely off the competitive, if not contending radar, and were an "almost" total historic embarrassment in franchise history in '03, just barely redeeming themselves, when they avoided tying or breaking an MLB-record 120 losing games.

Red Wings are just a given..... I love them....

World series win. Gotta get 'em when you can. Might take 5 more years to get back to the playoffs. Or longer. Not like Hockey or the NBA where you really have to suck to not get in.
