IF the Tigers go on to the WS, how much practice will all pitchers undergo on properly coming off the mound, gathering a bunt/hit, and throwing to 1st? 2006 was so frustrating due to StL being able to bunt their way to wins because pitchers could never throw accurately to 1st.

Yes, this still irks me to this day. How fucking hard is it to throw a guy out at 1st? You just know the media will bring it up time and again, especially if they play vs StL again. I know there are different pitchers now, but in 2006 it didn't matter who the pitcher was, none of them could throw to 1st.

From what I understand pitchers always practice it. Umm, but Verlander and Fister are damn good defensive pitcher pitchers. Just bad luck in 2006.

A miss here or there I could attribute to bad luck, what we witnessed was something other than bad luck. It was a fundaMENTAL problem. Someone must have been spiking the gatorade. Lol

It won't happen again. Well, it could since anything is possible...but it won't. Right???

NL teams will be bunting a lot vs. the Tigers.....with the pitchers woes in the past and seeing Miggy and Prince at the corners....I would bunt too!

Miggy has been fine with the bunts. And our pitcher too. If it happens, its just bad luck or nerves.

NL pitchers only bunt if they have runners at first or second and less then 2 outs.

The way we have been pitching, the #9 guy is not likely to have many bunt situations, and the difference between when a pitches does it and say someone trying to catch Miggy deep at 3rd, is you always know when a pitcher is going to do it.

My worry if we make it to the World Series is Delmon in LF. His bat has been hot and he will be in the starting line up.

Obviously this is only in the NL parks.

If JV doesn't win tonight I will be very worried that they don't even make the WS.

No...because I give a big edge to the Yankees in game 3 which would make it 2-2 with the Yankees getting home field advantage back.

Tonight is game 3.

Yankees have to beat both Verlander and Scherzer in CoPa to go home 2-2.

Dunno what big edge you mean.
