I just flipped on the radio and heard Ilitch say how Boras knows the team better than he does and how he took his info to heart on how they could improve. Wow... that's heavy praise and a tad scary when speaking of an agent. That said, it's awesome for us when it comes to superstars. We can pretty much keep any Boras client on the list of options from here on out.

they just had a press conference with Fielder, Illitch, and Leyland among others on FSD, I loved how DD referred to Illitch as Mr I.

Mr. Ilitch is an old, elderly man in speech and movement.
He knows it, and at this time doesn't care about money, just winning a World Series for the Tigers, but maybe even more for the people in the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan, and for Tigers fans everywhere.

Boras didn't say shit to Illitch. Illitch explained the Fielder signing. He missed Fielder in the draft by one spot a few years back and when Victor went down, he told DD go get Fielder. It was a dream come true for Illitch.

Easiest 'sell' of Boras' career if you ask me.

Of course it did. Cecil was a God in Detroit and Illitch loved him. The organization WAS going to draft Prince 100%, but the Brewers snatched him up. Illitch has been drooling for the chance to get him and when Victor went down, problem solved.
