Indians go 18-1 against Detroit

meh. The team is bad. Who cares if they get dominated by a certain team.

Let's just hope they hit on some of these future draft picks, Zimmerman leaves & Miggy just decides to retire before his contract is up (not happening but a guy can dream)

I think we are something like 9-43 last 50ish games or so.

The Illich?s do not deserve a baseball team. I have little faith in our scouting department. I guess enough top picks they are bound to get 1 or 2 right.

well, nobody deserves a baseball team...but if you are rich enough to buy one you are certainly within your right to do so.

Now, would I be happy if they cleaned house including firing Al and got a new scouting department...probably. But as far as tanking and putting out a shitty product for a few years, I think that's fine. If you are going to be bad, might as well be REALLY bad.

Someone said nice hat to me this morning I’m not sure if he was being sarcastic or commending me for still being brave enough to wear it

By now all you guys know how long I have been a fan. I love our Tigers.
Almost as much for the Lions and RedWings.

But I hate the f'n cheap bastard owner, and the cluster fuck imbeciles stuck in the 20th century front office. Avila is a dope and a buffoon, Chadd and Littlefield were run out of Boston and Pittsburgh respectively years ago.
They all sit in a little circle jerk and have no idea how to get better players.
The whole chain of command and system is antiquated.
My frustrations from the time I was a kid and would get upset when they lost, and then learned profanity in the 3rd grade, has turned into rage the past few years, not so much the losing which sucks, but because of these dumb fucks who think they have a clue, AND THEY DON'T!!! What team who knows what they are doing, puts out lineups like this??
They have become the laughing stock of MLB.

and they keep talking about the 'Tiger Way'.
What the fuck is the Tiger Way?? When every other team is going for patient hitting position players who work the count, don't chase upstairs or low and away, and have great minor league coaching staffs to get these young men to learn the strike zone at an early age,

the Tigers draft pitcher after pitcher, or reach for position players in a round way too early, plus drafting, signing in FA recent times, and trading for players who will swing at a ball in a strike zone that touches the ground, up in their eyes, and into the opposite batters box. Whoever the scouts and player development people are should be curbstomped.
All this article makes me want to do is break stuff!!

Look at the recent years since the salary and the players let go or traded and see how successful they have become. Dumb fuck Avila gets minor league stiffs who will never be successful. Why? Because other teams have better coaching and player development.

I predict a 2020 season that is worse than 2019. And ownership will claim the organization is "on the right track" "moving in a positive direction" and is "optimistic" the future.

I hate our owners. We are a complete and utter embarrassment. I wish that awful Pizza chain would sell this team. Sorry Ron if you posted this already. This should not happen !

Embarrassing article !

The pitiful and sorry state of the franchise should not reflect at all upon the Tigers' fanbase, who will come out for a competitive team, and all out for a contender, unlike some MLB fanbases, and a few who are or have become so arrogant and spoiled by success, that even the slightest and short-lived stumbles by their teams brings out the pitchforks and torches.

If anything, Detroit sports fans are too docile and patient, which the owners and brass are not too "humble" to take advantage of that by making pie in the sky statements that just reek of being deceptive and patronizing.

What are we suppose to do? We can't force them to get better.

Lions fans finally marched in front of Ford Field to demand the firing of Millen, so where's the Tigers fans backlash vs Avila? Or will it take until '22 when they might realize that there ain't no near future contender that was being built.

The AL central might be the worst division in the history of MLB.

Every other division has a positive run differential outside of their own division.

AL west is the best with +149
The rest are between +21 to +70

The AL Central is -325. That is TERRIBLE!

That march had nothing to do with Millen getting fired. Plus baseball not as popular so you'd have less people.

We take 306 of that by ourselves. So not quite fair to the other teams. +171 for Minny, and + 122 for Cleveland. We basically double Chicago and KC.

Those numbers are effectively the run differential for all teams in the division going against teams outside the division. A lot of the + run differential for Minny & Cleveland is due to playing so many games vs. Chicago, KC, & Detroit.

Three-time MVP baseball player Bobby Rayburn joins the San Francisco Giants, and an obsessive fan, whose profession is selling hunting knives, Gil Renard is excited over that. But Rayburn plays the worst season of his career and Renard tries to do everything to help him, but goes too far.

Effectively, since the AL central is the only division with a negative run differential, all of baseball has outscored the AL Central by 325 runs.

:lmao:
