Get StartedHow are Inge Haters and Fans that hate Inge differ?
Talk about a slanted poll.
Where is dumb opposing pitchers? Or quality of pitchers he is going Lou Gehrig on?
HRs with OAK
1 = Matt Moore (L) at TBR
2 = Fransico Cordero (R) at OAK
3 = Collin Balester (R) at OAK
4 = Duane Below (L) at OAK
His 5th HR has come off of Danny Duffy (L) at KCR.
Newest member?!?!? He was a Tiger killer for the last 12yrs.Is Inge now officially the newest member of the Tiger Killer list?

I don't live in Detroit, so I'm not exposed to Detroit media...so I don't really get the Inge hating...I sort of discern that Inge is a little arrogant for a career lifetime .220 or .230 hitter, or whatever he is...
Inge was with the Tigers with the dark, dark days, and even though his batting stats ain't great, my recollections of Inge are of him getting hot at the right time, or hitting a game winning jack or two.
So I don't really get the Inge hating.
I don't know who Gehrig hit what he hit against in a 5 game stretch 70 or so years ago...although I'm pretty sure it wasn't against Peavey or Verlander.
You'd get it if you lived around here and saw all the press he's gotten. He's always been delusional and outspoken. He bitched when we traded for Pudge, for Miggy, and for Fielder. He's a below average major leaguer who got TONS of rope and praise here, and he still acts like he's owed something.I don't live in Detroit, so I'm not exposed to Detroit media...so I don't really get the Inge hating...I sort of discern that Inge is a little arrogant for a career lifetime .220 or .230 hitter, or whatever he is...

Exactly. He is what he is, and that's a .230 hitter. In his mind though, he'll equate this "accomplishment" as somehow being on par with Gehrig. The guy is delusional. He just thinks he's way better than he is and isn't afraid to say that when they stick a mic in his face.OK.
Well, he's gone, and he just did something that nobody but Lou Gehrig ever did.
But that said...he's gotten hot before.
As I quote Denny McClain from a couple of years ago, at the end of a season when Inge got off to a great start early in the season, in a rare chance I had to listen to Detroit media on the internet, "as I said at the beginning of the season, Brandon Inge will be hitting .230 at the end of the season."
And it's probably gonna be the same this season.
Unlikely anybody will be comparing Brandon Inge of the Oakland Athletics with Lou Gehrig at the end of this season.
Good point. Call me when he hits one off JV, Peavy, Weaver or even CJ Wilson. Forgettaboutit...cuz he won't.
Notice that he is not in the starting lineup against Verlander.
Why would he? Verly would sit him down 3-4 times with ease.
This putz (Inge) is already a fan favorite in Oakland. It's like a fn disease with this guy.
