Get StartedOakland is picking up all of the trash in our infield. First Sizemore and now chucky check swing
Sizemore is trash? Did you see what he did after he was traded? He made our FO look pretty stupid, not that they already didn't by dealing him for a borderline major league RP.
Apparently he's gonna start too. This should be a disaster for Oakland
Watch that son of a gun hit .280, 15 hrs. 80 rbi's the rest of the year
in that division against that pitching in that ballpark Inge will struggle to hit the weight of my kittens.Watch that son of a gun hit .280, 15 hrs. 80 rbi's the rest of the year

Just slightly better trash, well maybe more than slightly compared to Inge. But still trash
I really don't understand why something as simple as checking statistics is difficult for you. :/
So he hit .249 with Oakland last year. Whoop dee do. So he had a decent OPS. And as the Raburn supporters will tall ya, Raburn numbers at seasons end will turn out alright and bests Sizemore. So in actuality Raburn is better offensive 2B than Sizemore.
And I want my 2B to hit for average, not .249.
Ok, you do know that an empty .300 is inferior to .249 with power right? That's why we have OPS, because it properly takes into account the value of power, which in baseball is pretty valuable.
Sizemore was an above average hitting 2nd baseman. Raburn is even more above average offensively at 2nd. Yet you trash both these guys and then wonder why we don't have a .300 hitting stud who hits for power too like Pedroia, as if those guys just grow on trees for everybody to get. Go look for this studly player that the Tigers can acquire somehow, I'll wait.
All I know is in 2010 he got called up and didn't hit. Then in 2011 he also couldn't hit. Regardless the stupid RP we got, it was a no brainer he was getting traded. His defense was sub par. It is what is but he wasn't a gem, and if he was still here you'd think he'd be starting? Especially not with the love for Raburn, he'd be at Toledo.
Yes, assuming he didn't rip apart his ACL and assuming we didn't have management/operations people with the patience of a 4 year old with ADD he would be starting.
It also made no sense to trade him. Who did we have who could play 2nd? Santiago? That was it, so why trade your one young player who might stick there? STUPID. I don't care if he hits .200 for 3 months, it is the wrong decision, period.
