Anyone else noticed the last couple of years under this new CBA, with shorter camps, no two a days allowed, limited padded practices.... players seem to be getting more soft tissue injuries?

Yes and it was supposed to result in the opposite. Maybe just coincidence though.

Doubtful. Look at years past with the guys who held out of camp for a new contract.

It was all but a guarantee they would have a soft tissue injury, likely a hammy, by week three.

The grueling camp got the body into shape for football. These guys are marshmallows now. They have to go around beating women and kids to feel manly again.

I agree but that was the union line that saving the hitting for the field reduces injury.

I noticed that too. They might be reducing brain trauma, but not injuries as a whole

Seattle defense getting hurt. And look like shit. Injuries are fun

Not for our swiss cheese secondary they're not. At the rate this team is going, they'll be forced to sign champ bailey by week 5

At this right they will have to sign the guy that replaces Champ Bailey by week 5.

If we haven't signed him yet, do you really think he has anything left in the tank?! We promoted Nate Ness from the practice squad for Sunday's game rather than sign Champ...

I hear ya, brother!! Just feeling a little desperate lol

Ansah and George Johnson injured. Waddle still not practicing. Cassius Vaughn injured. Oh weird....didn't I say our depth sucked at DE OT and Secondary going into the draft? Good thing we have 3 TEs and a back up Center!!!!! mayhew is so fucking dumb....

Lions' DE Ezekiel Ansah has knee injury

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Ezekiel Ansah has dealt with injuries since the beginning of his rookie season and after two games of appearing healthy, the defensive end is on the injury list again.

Ansah sat out Wednesday's practice with a knee injury, one of three Detroit Lions players to not practice at all, joining linebacker Travis Lewis (quad) and tackle LaAdrian Waddle (calf).

A bunch of Lions were limited in practice Wednesday, including starters James Ihedigbo (neck), Nick Fairley (biceps) and Joique Bell (knee). Also limited were rotational defensive end George Johnson (groin), fullback Montell Owens (hamstring) and cornerback Cassius Vaughn (ankle).

Of the limited players, Vaughn might be the most concerning considering Detroit's lack of depth at corner.

Safety Don Carey practiced fully for the first time during the regular season.

"blue chip" Ebron running 2 yard speed outs.....match up nightmare.

Can we start blaming the trainers yet for all these injuries?

Hilliard was good depth. Hurt too.
Lawson played well. Hurt too. IAQ is playing well. Carey coming back. There was/is depth there.

George Johnson is the depth. Jones is playing solid and Taylor is good depth still. Webster could get his shot. Unknown.

We had RT depth but he got hurt, we have safety depth. We had nickel depth (got hurt) and still have Carey/Vaughn to step up. And we have DE depth (Johnson/Taylor and maybe Webster (unknown).

The only idiot is hughes.

Couple guys at same position. IAQ did well. Reynolds is off the street due to two injuries. Vaughn was due to two injuries.

And you are making a judgment on one game.
You are beyond pathetic.
