MSU +5.5, people are calling this the biggest game of the McCaffery era which i think is a bit much.

Kenpom gave us a 27% chance of winning, but of course that doesn't take into account the injuries.

Tough matchup tonight, they play a lot of guys a lot of minutes and like to get up and down the court. usually a team that tries to copy our style but doesn't do it as well is a big advantage for us, kind of like how UNC always beats us that way.

our chances begin and end with Harris, he needs to play like a Skiles/respert/neitzel type guy. he needs to look for his shot all game and walk that fine line between being a superstar and heaving bad shots. MSU usually doesn't play like that because we don't have to, but we do have to tonight. we need to slow the game down and try to find the best shot possible for Gary and hope he can carry us with 30+

given that we're depleted defensively up front, if we shoot like we have lately I like the over (150). Not touching the 5.5

If we can win this, it puts us in good shape in the big ten race. if we don't, i'd think we'd have to win out.

we need Gary Harris to have a performance for the ages

I think that tonight we will get 50 from Harris, Appling and Ellis...everyone else who knows.

They have a long lineup, the mismatches are going to be an issue. How dow you stop them down low? There is slim hope for a win tonight..

In addition to Harris going off, more than 5 points combined out of Valentine and Trice would help a lot too.

Jesus sbee, it's not like the team played horrible Saturday night. They lost to a good team and played them tough. I think we have a good chance at winning this game. Harris isn't the only guy that can score. No reason to force everything through 1 guy and be one dimensional. Costello's been good around the basket, especially in the first half against Michigan. Not sure why we didn't work it in to him more in the second half. Trice and Valentine have shown that they can hit double digits in the past. I like what I saw from Ellis Saturday as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kaminski get hot coming off that rough game.

Its not unwinnable but I believe in kenpom. When you have this personnel we need gary to take a lot of shots.

7+ minutes in and we still haven't seen Ellis. Him and Byrd are the same height and Ellis is coming of a beautiful game against michigan. I don't get it.

MSU jumps out to 13-8 lead. 5 players have scored for us. None of them named Gary Harris.

Thats good sometimes but they have more size on the floor than 90% of the teams in NCAA. If you played hoops you know its tough to take it to the hole with that kind of size down low. Ive seen a number of going to the bucket attempts get stuffed, we dont have a Payne to spread it out and keep the peace down low.

Well despite shooting horrible and only getting 2 pts from Harris, we're still in it.

Looks like nba 1980s continuation is back. Appling got it early

No inside game means no ft's. They have a lot of size, not surprised by ft difference, haven't seen a lot of bad calls
