Iran deal

Is anyone surprised by this? Assuming Khameini isn't just being mis-translated...

why is media propaganda newsworthy on this topic? my reaction doesn't change at all. see my earlier posts for reasons why.

If you trust Iranian leadership to follow this agreement, you are being foolish.

you still need a bunch of them big ole' industrial centrifuges, right?

I saw a forum where someone claimed you'd need only 3 ton of ore to get enough material for a bomb if you had some perfect processing method. The way centrifuges do it, you need more like 300 tons of ore per bomb. So it seems like there's lots of room for improvement. Probably shouldn't speculate on the internet what those methods light be. Doesn't seem like a healthy activity.

Apparently John Kerry finds this "media propaganda" newsworthy enough to comment on it publicly. And why are quotes and comments from Iran's leadership "media propaganda?" is it because they contradict your opinions?

So as of now, Schumer looks like he'll be a no vote.

Senator Charles Schumer from New York; not his cousin Amy.

That's a pretty big deal.

EDIT: From CNN online.

Wasn't the inspection program a complete circus and what actually worked in Iraq (to some degree) was the sanctions?

I thought the inspections were considered a success. It was key to going to war. I don't think there would have been a war if Saddam didn't boot the inspectors, and in the 11th hour, when it was clear to him that the US wasn't bluffing about going without UN Security Council consensus, he tried to allow the inspectors back in.
