Is this season over?

If we win Sunday we don't have to deal with the Packers in the playoffs. I like that situation a lot better than having to deal with them two weeks in a row. Go Skins, handle your business Detroit, go home GB.

It is not fair in a 16 game season. One team gets a layup

Lions beat the skins. They should be done even at 9-6-1. Lions 9-7 should be better due to head to head.

So you've got bad luck, refs, concentrated injuries...and now the new "it's not fair" card. Can you get any more excuses in before Sunday's game?

Nope, everything is covered. I think LKPs confidence has hit an all-time low.

I gots an NFL penalty flag for xmas so I can throw it around the room whenever watching the NFL call stupid penalties against the lions now. Flag on the play! Lions well your the lions we don't have to have a reason 15 yards first down!

I think the Giants win, Washington doesn't deserve the playoffs IMO. Their playoff hopes should've died with their home loss to the Panthers 2 weeks ago.

They don't deserve it? Maybe Detroit doesn't either..

Detroit beat Washington. Detroit deserves it over them. Washington beat GB. Wash deserves it over GB when Detroit beats GB in Week 17

3rd place in their division. Should be a rule against that, lol. If GB beats the Lions, I agree Detroit doesn't either

Ah got it. Of course when we go 10-6 as a 3rd place team and don't get in, we might have the opposite view .. lol.

Not i, unless we had a 5-1, or 6-0 divisional record

If washington wins and we lose...they will have a better record than us and faced a harder schedule. They will deserve it more than us. Its not very hard to understand unless you are a homer fuck.

We beat washington. Stafford slit cousins throat at the end with hsi drive

Lions had tougher schedule than skins. Wash hosted gb and min, so no tough away there. At chi when they were the most injured all year. Afc north is down this year. Skins got swept by cowboys. Eagles suck. Panthers suck and washington lost to them and were in Washington. Arizona sucks this year and skins lost to them too. Cincy game was away but at neutral site. Played giants early before giants figured out their d.

Easy schedule for skins. They deserve to be in over packers only. Not over detroit. Who beat the skins

Lions played Vikes/GB home (TBD with GB) and away, at Houston (they are 7-1 there) so Texans away is tougher than Pit at home like Wash got, Bears at their toughest away in Week 4, Titans and Colts are .500 and Colts were away, both are tougher than Baltimore and Cincy this year. Jags>Browns at home. Lions at Cowboys and Giants with injured Stafford so that is tougher than what Wash got with Giants. Didn't get a crack at them at home.

Lions beat Eagles and Skins. Lions beat Rams who suck and won away at Super Dome against Saints which is a tough place to play. Lions had the tougher schedule than Washington. And Lions beat them head to head.

Week 17 playoff odds: Detroit Lions still have well above 50-50 shot to make postseason.
Despite their two-game losing streak, the Lions are still in good shape to make the postseason.

Which is why hatefest threads like this one are absolute bullshit. Even more bullshit than saying refs and injuries cost Lions games.

Lions lack talent. Shut the fuck up. They are loaded with talent and have 9 wins to prove it.
Lions had an easier schedule. No they didn't. Lots of tough away games this year with injuries to deal with to basically every star on the team.
Abdullah injury meant nothing. Fuck you, it meant everything to this run game. He is a difference maker.
Stafford has been sucking. Fuck you, he's been injured the last 2.5 games. 100.5 QB rating before that injury. You can see the ball wobble and have less zip.
Is the season over? Fuck no it isn't. They have a home game against the Packers (who they have beaten once every year since 2013) and can win the division at a good 10-6 record. Or they back in with the Skins loss to the Giants. Playoffs are a very real possibility when all you motherfuckers were predicting a 5-7 win season. Fuck you, you were wrong.

Lions are 6-1 at home. Won 6 in a row. Allow 19 points at home. Allow 24.2 PPG on the road. Lions defense is much much better at home.

Pretty angry these days. Are we allowed to say "fuck you" to all of your wrong predictions? Or are we sticking with the "I'm always right and when I'm wrong it doesn't count" routine?

In my opinion the Lions are an average team. That is not "hating" that's just stating what I believe to be a fair assessment. They've beaten the majority of the bad/mediocre teams they've faced which is great. In most seasons we would have dropped an additional game or two in there somewhere. We should be getting those wins. The problem lies when we face the best competition (Packers/Giants/Cowboys) we have not looked great. What other conclusion is there but to say they must be average then?

The injuries have hurt them, but we say that every year. Injuries always hurt us. They are a constant. A way of life in the NFL. If you can't adapt, then you die so to speak. It would be nice if they were at full strength each and every week, but that's just not reality. I am not going to judge the team by what they "could be" or "should be". Results are what count.

I have enjoyed the season for what it is. I don't get to see most of the games due to work obligations but it's at least interesting to be a part of a playoff race.

In a single game situation anything can happen. A few years ago Rodgers looked pretty darn dreadful when he played in Ford Field. Maybe it can happen again.
