It's possible the big ten has 10 bowl teams

If Northwestern wins 1 of it's final two (one being Minnesota) and Purdue does the same (one being Indiana) then the big ten will have 10/12 teams bowl eligible. I wonder how that would affect the bowl games? I thought we only had 9 total bowl spots and that's with two teams going to BCS bowls.

That disgusting. 10 B1G teams do not deserve bowls. Time to cut the number of bowls down.
I'd rather have too many bowls. I like making bowl picks and watching random games.

OSU won't be allowed to go!

I guess that's possible but they probably would have to come out with the penalties by the end of November and I don't see that happening.

id much rather they not come out with their punishment until next year. they wont win their division this year and the team is not good so the punishment would not be as detrimental.

I don't mind... I could go either way on more or less bowl games.

For some of these kids, bowl games are the only time they'll ever be on national TV. I've always wondered why some people get so worked up about there being too many bowl games. If you don't like them, I don't see why it's so difficult to keep your mouth shut and just not watch and let others enjoy them.

I hate the fact that the reason there's so many is ncaa just wants money.

But I like picking them. And its nice for the Sr players to play in them. They've worked hard for four years.

I personally like that there's this many in the big ten represented. I find watching big ten teams far more exciting than other conferences.

They'll be showing Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel at that time, so people could tune into those if they don't want to watch the bowl games.

It'll be the same movies over and over and over again, but that's ok, they only come around once a year.

Are those 2 guys hugging on the front?

Anyways, if they start letting losing teams go, then i'll have a problem. In the meantime I love bowl season. I love the different conference matchups.

You're right, let's add bowl games 'til we have 60 so that every D1 team can play. But that wouldn't be fair to all the D2 schools with losing records, so we'll have to add even more bowls!

Why would you want LESS football? The number of bowl games has nothing to do with the quality of the other games, I'll take as many games as they want to schedule, I don't see a downside to it.
