Assume everyone here has heard but he was denied immediate eligibility by the NCAA. Izzo quit the board of directors from the NABC as a result and good on him for saying enough is enough. It?s just comical how top QBs left and and right like Justin Fields, Shea Patterson, Kelly Bryant can transfer and play right away and James Wiseman gets a whole 12 game suspension at Memphis and yet Hauser gets denied for whatever reason.

Crazy but not at all surprising. Is there any color on why his request was denied and others mentioned in the article had theirs granted? Is there a difference in circumstances or is it completely arbitrary?

From what I can tell, the NCAA doesn't have to release why they grant or deny these kids eligibility. Which is the problem.

Lack of transparency is certainly part of the problem - consistency, general ineptitude and corruption seem to be issues effecting them as well. I don't recall the details of past cases if I'm not mistaken I've heard plenty of stories where they've granted waivers for kids whose circumstances seemed nearly identical to those for kids that were denied.
