Anyone else planning on purchasing this book? I'm excited yet nervous to see what it says. I wonder if it might divulge into boren's comments about "family values."

I've preordered it. Being a big fan of Lloyd Carr, I'm not too excited about reading it because the Mgoblog review suggests that Lloyd will hate it. Apparently, Bacon now sits near Drew Sharp in the press box.

I will pick it up at some point, probably. And from the way it has been characterized, Bacon was almost an 'embedded reporter' for the Rich Rod years and seems to be sympathetic to his 'situation.'

I would wait to form my own judgment if I were you. Those guys aren't particularly perceptive. Actually, they aren't perceptive at all.

they would look at a picture of a truck tire and tell you it was a swan... and include lots of pointless graphs and statistical charts while doing it.

I find the whining on MGoBrian lately to be pretty annoying. He's still sore over Hoke being the coach and complaining about the offense (until now that vs Minny he was shown the things he wanted to see....)

And yesterday he was on about Dave Brandon "re-branding" Michigan by adding a number of Marketing people to the AD versus the three they used to have. But he paints a picture of "re-branding" as if Brandon has proposed changing the colors or team mascot.

There's a lot of information on the site but some of the regs on the message board along with some of the contributors are too much and way too whiny and cynical.

MICHIGAN RULES and so does Coach HOKE!!

Maybe they would, but they would also include some qualifier about how they've never actually seen a swan (some unnamed source told them it was a swan) and since it's a truck tire I happen to be interested in, it's still worth it for me to look at the picture. And I'll make my own mind up regarding whether or not it's a swan.

Red... Lloyd refused to partake in the book, but I thought I read somewhere that rrod wasnt too fond of it either. How do you put the quote box in a post that you are responding to?

It's not available to new posters. You have to unlock that functionality by posting great comments.

what is John U. Bacon's middle name? I've been wondering that ever since the book he wrote with Bo came out.

Ulysees?

Universal?

Unitarian?

Ukelele?

I just hit the quote button on the post I want to quote.

...and I agree. It's an important thing to note that Bacon made it clear that Lloyd did not participate. I'm hoping there's a side to the story that leaves Lloyd smelling like roses. It won't be in the book of course, but we'll see what's there in another couple weeks.

Right. I just take the info and leave the opinion. They do occasionally have pictures of great tires.

I am not especially interested in reading a book about the nadir of the M football program.
