Miles Bridges was wearing "The Class T-Shirt" as he committed today.
Jackson
Bridges
Langford
Winston
Ward

Bridges, Winston, and Jackson are good friends. I think we get Jackson.

I've seen him play live, he's unstoppable with the ball, he does not miss any shots inside 15 feet. He's an NBA player already. Not as explosive of an athlete as Bridges, but will still be an elite athlete in the NBA. He was called the best high school player in the country in any class last year.

I see a better Evan Turner who is basically Carmelo Anthony as a scorer at the college level.

Yeah, someone has to transfer(Ellis) or go pro early(Eron Harris), but we can sign Jackson in November and worry about getting to 13 scholarship players before next season.

Jackson is the composite #1 player, he's a rare talent. A player that NBA ready rarely comes along. He's as NBA ready as Jabari Parker was at his age. Still think Bridges is a better athlete and maybe has a higher ceiling, but Jackson is a lock to be an NBA starter in two years.

And we are going to be so fun to watch, Izzo loves to run and these types of athletes are going to flat out run teams off the floor.

Dare I say its too much talent?? Add in Deyonta Davis and its beyond filthy. Running teams off the floor is a given. Hopefully Izzo will pawn off Ellis to Iowa State.

I hope Swanigan stays a few years and we piss pound he and turdue into oblivion.

Hearing that Jackson is very likely to be in this class. Seems he's told something to that effect to several MSU basketball alumni.

Holy Shit. I am feeling fairly confident now. What was 5% a few weeks ago and 50% a few days ago is now 80% or better IMO.

ITs just all making too much sense. I could see him wanting to stay on the west coast because of the weather etc but he wont be in college long. I feel pretty strongly he will be GREEN.

Expect him to visit in the next couple weeks again for an official. And expect him to sign with MSU in November.

"It definitely helps their case, getting Miles and Cassius, two guys that I've been playing with since I was maybe 9 years old," Jackson said of Michigan State.

"It being a hometown, it was definitely one of my favorites," Jackson said. "I'm leaning towards Michigan State and Arizona and a couple of other schools, but I think Michigan State's a real nice place. Love coach Izzo, I think he's one of the best college basketball coaches there is right now.

"The thing I really like about Michigan State is out of all the times I've seen them play, I've seen them lose and win, I've never seen them be out-toughed by another team, and I think that really fits into my style of play."

It's safe to say we lead for Jackson. Nice.

This is shaping up to be the kind of class people get suspicious of...if it all comes together, my biggest hope for them will be that there isn't some booster douche in the background making it happen. I doubt there is, but a class like this one could be is going to raise eyebrows. After that, I hope they stay healthy, out of trouble and win a national championship or two.

Yeah, let's hope not, but it's not too unbelievable either that it's just a the perfect storm of circumstances in the positive direction (kids with local ties at one time or another, have developed friendships and so forth) It's the same way that there was a lot of the perfect storm in the other direction with the misses the last couple of years (like Mudiay unexpectedly going to SMU, then UK moving in on Ulis, as one example).

It's a lot of hard work that is paying off and a lot of the stars aligning. First of all, you had Izzo taking the team to another Final 4 and the media loving him for it. Then you have the NBA announcers gushing about Draymond Green and Izzo for the entire Golden State title run. Combine that with the luck of having some of the best players in the country with ties to the state. Jackson grew up an MSU basketball fan. Izzo has been recruiting Winston since 9th grade. Winston, Bridges, and Jackson all happen to be good friends. And Josh Langford's cousin is Jeremy Langford who starred here in football and is now playing in the NFL. That's a lot of moving parts that all came up the right way.

It culminated with the Oregon game weekend which was said to be about as great of an environment for a sporting event as was possible. The same weekend Draymond Green donated $3.1 Million to the athletic program. It was that weekend that closed the deal with Winston and Bridges, Bridges has said he committed to Izzo then.

So here we are, Izzo already has his best class and Jackson looks like he's favoring MSU big time. Couldn't have happened to a better man or a better coach in Izzo. And what's more is that these types of classes have a way of leading to the next monster class. 2017 5 star Brian Bowen is considered a near MSU lock because his cousin is Jason Richardson. We just had a visit from a 5 star center from CA. Izzo will likely land 2-3 5 stars for the 2017 class. I think we get some one and dones, mix them with some 2 and 3 year players, and have some seniors that stay all 4 years still, it's going to make for a nice mix.

I think the reason we are landing these kids isn't that complicated, the state of Michigan is producing good players and we have a built in edge. Michigan talent has been down for years but there's a decent crop right now, we have a much better chance to get a 5 star from Detroit than one from IL, IN, Wisconsin, or Minnesota

That made me chuckle but it really is. If there was any Tomfoolery it wouldnt be Tom Izzo but some booster. If we land Jackson im sure some will point the finger.

Ive seen several mixtapes of bridges and jackson. Jacksons play is effortless like hes falling asleep yet dominating. lots of finesse and fluid as anyone ive ever seen. he smiles at the end but he is emotionless in all the other videos ive watched. Bridges gets a nice block on him. If he goes GREEN these games are going to be a highlight reel. I call 2 Sportscenter plays of the day for bridges his first year.

It's hard not to get excited based on this quote.

"I love Coach Izzo," Jackson said. "I think he's one of the best college basketball coaches there is right now. The thing I really like about their team, year in and year out, is two things: one, Coach Izzo isn't really known for getting the best talent in the country, year in and year out. I pay attention to what he does with what he has. He's in the Final Four almost every year, every other year. I just imagine, what if he got the top talent? Imagine what he could do with us.

That quote is a fan quote. Jackson says he's been a big MSU basketball fan his whole life. That's about the exact quote I've heard from many MSU fans over the years. And yeah, it's pretty exciting.

Arizona is the biggest competition here, he's played for Coach Miller with team USA.

Some more quotes from Jackson:

I love Coach Izzo," Jackson told Borzello. "I think he's one of the best college basketball coaches there is right now. ... I pay attention to what he does with what he has. He's in the Final Four almost every year, every other year. I just imagine, what if he got the top talent? Imagine what he could do with us."

"Me and Miles are real good friends," Jackson told Borzello. "Him going to Michigan State, I think it was a great decision for him. I think they really fit his style of play -- and also mine. ... Cassius Winston, I've been knowing him since I was about 8 years old. I got a real good relationship with the guys over at Michigan State."

Sounds like this kid is all Green. Miller having coached him on team USA is the only thing that would make him choose Zona. Sticking with 80%.

More quotes:

"They grew up together," Raymond Bridges, Miles Bridges's father, said. "Josh and Miles have known each other since they were little. When Miles was eleven, I used to take him to Detroit to play with Josh Jackson. Since Josh was little, he always has been one of the top players in the country. He's now the No. 1 recruit in college basketball. Michigan State has a great chance with Josh. They have Miles and Cassius. Their class is ranked No. 1 in the nation right now. If Josh Jackson signs with Michigan State, you can put them down for a National Championship."

Miles Bridges is recruiting him hard:

"We have been going at each other for a very long time now," Miles Bridges said. "Once, we played basketball together in Vegas. We clicked because we knew each others' game. If we went to Michigan State together, it would be crazy. Josh Jackson, myself, Cassius, Josh (Langford) and Nick (Ward) all at Michigan State would be amazing."

"Josh and I talk at least three times a week," Miles Bridges said. "He is just a very cool person."

Jackson is trying to set up his official visit to MSU the weekend of October 23rd, our Midnight Madness weekend.
