Totally Tigers

A new pattern has emerged with the Detroit Tigers. Over the last 2 weeks, they have won 8 games and lost 5.
They swept the Baltimore Orioles and won 2 additional series against the 2nd place Guardians and 1st place Twins. They have climbed out of the AL Central basement and sit 9 games away from .500.

They are starting to put together winning streaks. During the month of May, they had 2 streaks of 2 games, one 3-game streak and a 4-game one. They took 4 out of 5 games from the Twins.

Their bullpen ranks 2nd in all of MLB. Offensively, they have climbed out of the cellar and sit with a team .223 BA. It has gone up slightly and now ranks them #28 although they could conceivably move up at least 2-3 positions given the very close rankings.

Do you feel the tide has turned? Are the Tigers on their way to becoming the team many fans thought they would be this year? Or do they still not have enough talent in which to adequately compete?

Are the Tigers on their way to performing better this year?

1. Yes, maybe .500 or better.

2. Not sure, still too soon to tell.
