will be MSU offensive line vs their defensive line, they run a 3-4 defense all the time and they are susceptible to power teams. when Stanford beat Oregon I think Stanford held the ball almost all game, Oregon had 7 possessions, maybe 45 snaps, they usually try to snap it 90 times in a game.

I didn't like what i saw from the running game on friday night, we ran for about 250 yards and that's good but a lot of the big runs were end arounds and trick plays. None of our backs had a great yards per carry, Langford had two injuries, his ankle was twisted at the bottom of the pile by a JSU player. Hill was ok but we weren't opening big holes and breaking away, Delton Williams wasn't great and we need a lot from him saturday night. Maybe things would be a little different if we had Kruse back and Keiler on the bench, hopefully jackson plays. We would be much better off rotating 7 or 8 guys in there, I think we'll rotate 6 with Brian Allen being the last guy in. This does not bode well for us, we could improve a lot between week 1 and 2, that's what I'm hoping.

If MSU can run the ball effectively against their 3-4 we have a great chance of keeping their offense off the field and winning the game. the blueprint isn't rocket science, you just have to be able to execute and do it.

all of this being said JSU did stack the box to stop the run and we passed at will so really we took what they gave us. I would have liked to see some longer runs by RB's though, that doesn't inspire as much confidence for Oregon. We need to control that line and the clock

Nobody knows how good anybody is or isn't, or should be, at this point in the season.

That said, I don't know why Oregon is considered about two touchdowns better than MSU, even at home.

Will Oregon throw Trae Waynes way? JSU didn't try him even once! I'm excited for the game. Few good games this saturday, early treat for college football fans.

Oregon has a pretty solid CB as well (pre-season all-American Ifo Ekpre-Olomu) - we can't expect to whip it all over the yard in Eugene like we did against J'ville State.

He got banged up in their first game. Is he playing?

I don't know. They mentioned him last night on the halftime show of the Arizona game and didn't say anything about him being questionable or even hurt. Either way, I have to think the Oregon secondary overall is a level or two above J'ville State.

I think it's one all American and 3 new starters. JSU stacked the box to stop the run and had little safety help, they picked their poison.
