Kings or Sharks

IF the Wings continue to the next round, which team would be a better matchup for Detroit, the Kings or Sharks?

I despise both, in no small part due to it being another West Coast series, and I know it is WAY TOO EARLY to start thinking about this, but here it is nonetheless.

Well I'm not even worried about this because Chicago could easily rattle off three straight. They are that good.

Furthermore, if this team can beat this Chicago team that is very very good, I don't think it matters who they play.

I suppose I would rather play the Sharks because it would be sweet to eliminate them from the playoffs. Generally hate their team, especially Jumbo Joe.

The asterisk is to avoid creating a jynx:

*I was unable to get to Anaheim when the Wings played the Ducks to catch a game - just didn't fit into my schedule.

I have gone to Wings v Kings games from time to time; downtown LA is much more convenient for me than Anaheim, and naturally, I would love another opportunity to go and root for my Red Wings as a visiting team in a playoff game out here on the left coast.

I suppose I could get to San Jose possibly, although that would be substantially less convenient that Anaheim would have been - the stars would have to align just right.

I hate the Kings less, so I'd prefer to play and eliminate San Jose, much like tigersofjustice. However if we lost to San Jose that would make it all the more painful.

BUT -

If for some chance I would have any reason, and there would only be one reason, to go to a Western Conference Finals game that the Kings would be hosting were the Kings to advance, I would be able to take photos and post them to the board...

The CBC crew covering the game tonight is at my hotel, eh. Just sat at breakfast next to a couple guys reviewing notes and talking abooot their day's agenda.

I'm not going to say I favor a matchup, I learned my lesson when I wanted the Tigers to face the Giants in the WS. But I'm going to say that I want the Kings to move on. I hate the Sharks...hate hate hate...they're one peg below the Ducks for me...

Well if one of my friends can benefit from the Kings winning then I'm all for it. Make sure you take cool tsmith-like pictures of guys stretching.
