Get StartedYou don't know anything about the guy for real?
He's been the governor of Wisconsin for a pretty long damn time.
He has been in the news a lot, I would say primarily for public employee union labor negotiations.
For good or for bad or whatever, I would say that's what he is notable for.
It was for good.
It was for good.
Well, either way a guy like zyxt should know this shit.
A guy like zyxt shouldn't be all like "oh, I don't know anything about Scott Walker..."
Damn New York elitist snob.
ROFL...yeah, I deserve to be called out for it. I don't usually pay attention to the candidates till it is closer to election time. So many end up having their skeletons exposed and drop out or a front runner loses appeal and a new one takes over. I just find myself not wanting to invest time in learning about these guys until it is closer to time to vote.
Then I just look at their photo and decide who I want to be the face of the office.
Did you feel the same about approving money to a new arena complex in Milwaukee and in the same week cutting millions from Wisconsin's public universities?
Shame Wisconsin voters didn't see through Walkers Corrupt link to the Koch brothers. Tired of them buying election. Tired of corporations who can donate at will like Individuals.
and Unions...
Get back to me when Walker and the Koch brothers give a rats a$$ about the every day worker.. Three Awful human beings..
I'm not defending the Koch brothers or Scott Walker. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of being OK with unions spending gobs of money to buy elections but decrying corporations for doing the same thing. As for the every day worker, according to Forbes, Koch Industries employs over 100k people - many of them skilled laborers making well above the national minimum wage. But the Democrats and the unions tell you they're bad guys, so they must be bad guys.
I could care less what those idiots pay.. Check their record and how much suppression they have used over the years to cover up their Toxic empire. Great they create jobs on the bones of others.. Even their own brother can't stand them.. You believe what you want and so will I.. I am sure our votes will cancel each other out.. I am positive that unions are much better for people then the Koch brothers are.. A world run by these two guys point of view would be one awful place to live.
This guy is nothing more than a sneaky miserable Koch Kocksuckers Brothers errand boy cutting union pensions of state, police, firemen, teachers retirees.
The republicans create the state(s) to be in the red $$$ and then they go to take monies from retirees who are in their 60's and older who can't work fulltime, or some even part time, who are dependent on that fixed income pension.
This is the dirty shit the Kochsucker brothers do along with a myriad of laws they are able to implement in many states with a lacky piece of shit governor.
Then there was something he got caught at, I forget. and still the dumb fucks in Wisconsin voted for him.
None of these guys like this fuckhead wisconsin governor the past 2 elections the f'n republicans voted for to run against Obama will have a chance against Hillary if she is to be the Democrats nominee.
More I read about her and how she is for the TPP and a couple of other things, well, she is the lesser of the evils either party nominates for the 2016 elections.
I try to stay out of this shithouse of aruments, because you can't change a persons feeling about either party, much like religion, or color of skin, and there's always one or two who will try to suck you into an argument to see and explain to you/me there beliefs are correct.
I am for everyone to not be subjected to these kinds of tactics.
Even Snyder in Michigan put the state and cities into having a group to run their cities, and the people's rights to vote on new laws that take poor/low income programs away don't have a voice.
Don't give me that bullshit that there are way too many on the programs who are doing it illegally. That is a small percentage and because of that they want to end it for the other 98% of them.
and Unions...
two things:
1.) Yes, unions contribute a lot of money to elections, but I think it's only fair to put this into context.
In the Wisconsin recall election, Walker easily outspent Barrett, even taking into account the union money. And Barrett's money was at least mostly from in-state unions... something like 2/3's of Walker's $30MM+ came from outside the state. How is that fair?
It's not clear to me (without doing further research) exactly what the final count was, but Walker's direct spending beat Barrett $30MM to $4MM. Both HuffPo and USAToday reported this. The HuffPo article reports that Unions also spent $20MM in the election, and presumably most of that support went to Barrett, since Walker was screwing their members. It's not clear if Walker's $30MM takes into account Koch-bros-like Super PAC spending in his favor, or that would be extra.
2.) at least unions are speaking on behalf of their members... not the narrow business interests of a corporation, or a handful of billionaires.
You have to acknowledge how incongruous it is that a couple of oligarchs can essentially outspend unions that have millions of members. That doesn't strike you as unfair in a representative democracy (or at least what is supposed to be a representative democracy)?
